Can you fully dodge Malenia's Blade storm?
Not sure how that attack is actually called but I mean the attack where she goes for 3 or 4 flurries with her blades in short succession. I managed to block the first few flurries but the last one is just so long that it goes past the invincibility frames of my dodge, so it always hits me. So, what's the secret to that?

I think it's called Waterfowl Dance if it's that "you die now lol" supercombo?

Iirc the easiest way to dodge it is chaining Bloodhound Step --> dodgeroll --> Bloodhound Step, you can reduce the time you need to spend dodging if you run away from her to make the first bunch of flurries not even be in range

the easiest way to dodge it is to get good honestly. or just google someone dodging it :er_angry:

you can, either if you've got REALLY good reflexes or have some distance to begin with:
as soon as she rises into the air and lifts her sword, don't roll, but SPRINT away from her. waterfowl dance has 3 slash combos. the first she does a set distance away from where she starts the attack, then she has a about one second pause, then another flurry, then another pause, and the third flurry jumps to your position so you cannot outrun her. instead when she dashes towards you turn around, dodge roll twice into the direction she comes from and then you did it. takes some practice but is entirely possible, though i recomment having light load against her, because she rarely hits only once, if she does she's healing herself quite a bunch, so to avoid it better dodge about everything. i know, easier said than done, but still.

Yes. You can use precise movement to mess up her targeting and avoid it from point blank, and if you have enough distance there are methods to more conventionally dodge it.

it's very difficult, however, and in general if you're struggling with Waterfowl Dance the best solutions are preventing her from using it in the first place. In particular Frost Pots will, in regular NG, inflict their status effect in a single hit twice before her resistance grows too large for a single hit proc. This resets between phases, meaning that if you carry frost pots, you can throw one and stop her from using the attack unless she does it more than twice per phase.

The waterfowl attack can be completely dodged but in order to do so you must learn it completely. It can be partially dodged quite well if you're mediocre, like me, or can be canceled completely with a well-timed freeze pot, if you can react fast enough to the wind-up animation.

Because she moves toward you with the first two attacks, you can reduce their impact by rolling toward her, which is what I often do, because I haven't learned how to dodge it instinctively, yet.

that also applies to the bloodfly swarm incantation, if you have some distance you can cast it while she's in the air, making it trigger during her first flurry. as long as you didn't trigger it beforehand to make life easier dealing damage. i think there's also a pot equivalent that applies bloodloss, but not sure about that, and by implication never tested that one.

Alright, next question - after about 2 hrs. Are you actually supposed to be able to beat her at Lvl 152? I got barely any issues with the bosses so far (alone) but this just seems completely out of reach right now.

You can beat her at any level. 152 is super overleveled, so no problem.

She is very difficult, but most of her mojo comes from that slash super attack.

Hint for you is to stock up on fan daggers, each time you get 1/3 of her HP, she probably will try the super. Take distance and lure her super with daggers. From distance you can evade it safely.

Yeah, you can make it a little easier using spirit ashes too if you want, dividing the damage is always helpful

80-100 is fine. Once you have those 40 something into Vigor, everything else does not matter too much.

Already doing that (Black Knight Tiche +10). Alright, lets take another aproach. At what level can a looser like me cheese her easily? Cause I've had about enough of this.

if you're struggling at level 150 i doubt going any higher is going to make a difference honestly, maybe change strat, watch video on it and take a break!
