Lag spikes galore
Game runs fine but whenever I'm roaming or doing a boss battle there will just be a random lag spike that freezes the game for 1-3 seconds, Tried looking up solutions, only one I could find was something about setting game shaders to unlimited through NVIDIA Control Panel. Other than that I'm running medium graphics but even being on the lowest possible settings keeps giving the same results. Any advice would be appreciated.
PS: I do not have any overlays on my game, not from discord/steam/nvidia

Elden Ring is installed on my M.2 so is shouldn't have anything to do with drives
Specs:
Intel Core i9 9900K
32GB Ram (2x16GB)
8GB NVIDIA RTX 3070TI
Z390-A PRO Motherboard

Edit: When I said roaming, I meant that at any point whether it be free-roaming or sitting in round table. there's just a lag spike with a quick game freeze
Edit2/3: Spec edit/fix
Edit4: Make sure your BIOS is UTD and do not max out your DDR Speed to the max, 3200Mhz is doing fine for me. If you max out your DDR Speed it could lead to you crashing/bluescreening your PC like it did to me.

Your CPU seems plenty fast so let check RAM.
if you go to Task Manager -> Performance -> Memory -> what does it say about Ram speed and slots used?

Speed 2133 MHz
Slots used 2 of 4
That's way to slow for the game.
Anything below 3000Mhz and two slots seems to cause stutters.
You need to activate XMP in BIOS to make your RAM work as supposed to at 3200MHz.

I did what the video told me to, for some reason my task manager isn't updating the speed. I checked my BIOS settings twice now and it says 3200+ but my task manager is saying otherwise.

Task manager updates the speed instantly for me.
So did you turn XMP on? Did you save settings before leaving BIOS?
Task manager should clearly tell you 3200Mhz.

the usual fixes I've seen suggested (by experts) are:

- nvidia global settings, set "shader cache size" to "unlimited".

- nvidia game-specific settings, set "low latency mode" to "ultra" (only recommended if you're above the... recommended specs), set "power management mode" to "prefer maximum performance" and set "vertical sync" to "fast".

- in device manager, under "software devices" disable "Microsoft device association root enumerator". old hardware connected to the pc (even through the LAN iirc) might stop working.

- increase mouse polling rate (yes...)

- remove in-game overlays

- make sure (with CPU-Z) the ram is in dual channel mode and uses the whole "bandwidth" (I may be using the wrong terms here). for the latter, look for "DRAM frequency" in CPU-Z (in the "memory" tab). see if you have a "XMP" mode in the bios. if yes, enable it.

- make sure (with GPU-Z) the GPU uses/is/runs at (not sure of the right terminology) "PCIe x16". I don't know what to do if it doesn't, though :P

- as a last resort, remove the GPU drivers with DDU and either reinstall them or install new ones. do note that you will lose the settings you had in the nvidia control panel, so write them down or something.

- consider updating the bios too, maybe, but this, too, will reset your settings, so write them down.

sorry for the improper terminologies, I'm just reporting what I've seen and tried.

What do you mean by 3200+? What is that “plus” sign?
Also does 4GB 3070Ti even exist?

This is how it should look like in windows.
Screenshot from my PC.
If it’s lower than the RAM you paid for then it’s something wrong - usually just xmp settings in BIOS. Game seem to need at least 3000Mhz showed in task manager.

It might be better to use CPU-Z to display the supported speeds. It can show the standard JEDEC speeds as well as the XMP speeds (if they are even available).

^This screenshot is from my laptop. If the RAM supported an XMP profile, one of the JEDEC sections would display "XMP" instead. Note also that you can select individual RAM slots too. If you are using 2 different makes / models of RAM, the RAM speed will run at the slowest module's fastest speed. That is to say, if you have a module that maxes out at 2133MT/s and another that maxes out at 3200MT/s XMP, it will set the overall RAM speed to 2133MT/s, regardless of XMP being enabled or not.

CPU-Z is an amazing tool but can be confusing sometimes.
Possible max speed is not actual setup speed.
I switched my XMP off for a moment and CPU-Z still shows me the same info while actual RAM speed dropped and Elden Ring started to stutter.

The screenshot information is still correct, though I'm using the official version and not a "branded" version.

"Max Supported Speed" is just the maximum speed supported according to the RAM module's SPD. The wonkiness of that speed is due to your motherboard's base speed not running at exactly 100MHz. This is very common.

With XMP disabled, your motherboard analyzes the available speeds and settles on JEDEC #18: 1333MHz (2666MT/s), CAS 24. This is reflected in the Windows Memory Tab (though Windows incorrectly expresses it as "MHz" and not "MT/s") as well as CPU-Z's Memory Tab under "Timings":

Ignore the red highlighted section. This is a repurposed screenshot from a different thread showing how to check if a user's RAM is installed and configured correctly for dual channel operation.

3200+ = 3200 above, I didn't remember the full number. and I was wrong on that note either way
and yes my graphics card is 4095MB

If there is a 4gb 3070ti I have never seen it, who built this pc OP?

I also tried to google 4GB 3070Ti but couldn't find anything.

I built this pc but I was originally looking at my Speccy cause it says "4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti"
but I looked at my order history and its 8gb

Try looking up polling rate solutions, and turning off antivirus. For me, it was Avast antivirus causing the 'lag' spikes.
