you can trade a level 24 or a level 9 special weapon , not a 25 or 10 - is what I've always thought

Which is why people don't upgrade other players items and trade back to them

I know there's a restriction based on someones highest level weapon
Maybe I'm wrong and whoever I've traded with in the past didn't have a max level weapon...

Otherwise I would have been trading myself max level dupes - ,,, maybe it was the other guys fault in my case - I thought the reason he couldn't see my Max level weapons was because Max level weapons are an exception

If that didn't work it means the person you were trying to trade with had a weapon upgrade too far from yours.
Dropped weapons are only visible if you already have a weapon close to that upgrade level.
