Agreed, too much midpoint armour not enough distinction from heavy to make it count and light armour is near useless as i recently found out.

I have a few outfits depending on what my build is. I really like mixing and matching sets, and I don't like when something clashes with my weapon.

1. Lusat's Glintstone Crown, Preceptor's Long Gown, Carian Knight Gauntlets, and Blaidd's Greaves (Carian Regal Scepter and Staff of Loss in the off hand)

2. Envoy Crown, Astrologer Gloves, Altered Snow Witch Robe and Skirt (Dual Winged Scythes)

3. All-Knowing Set with the Altered Nox Monk Hood (Dual Coded Swords)

4. Zamor Armor, Blackflame Monk Gauntlets, and Scaled Greaves (Cinquedea and Clawmark Seal)

5. Altered Lord of Blood's Robe with the Aristocrat Headband (Rivers of Blood Katana and Dragon Communion Seal)

6. Profit Blindfold, Guardian Garb (Full Bloom), Mushroom Arms, and Alberich's Trousers (Prince of Death Staff and Golden Order Seal)

Scaled armor. But wishing the dlc adds actual witches clothing (screw that stupid snow witch clothing) and maybe more knight themed armor that isn’t just colored swapped crap like all the knights wear. Seriously Drakeblood knight armor was the best in defense to weight and fashion.

Each of my characters have their own style, and since armor doesn't make a great difference in this game, I prefer to focus on the look I want r each background I imagined for each character

I didn't really like to mix and match in this game, most armour have distinct enough colour and gloss to bother me. I like Radahn's armour.

Radahn gauntlets
Radahn pants

My standard armor is a Foot Soldier Armor set, because it's a balanced general purpose armor with decent protection/absorption in every regard.
