She's the one who ordered the assassination of Godwyn, leading to the Shattering all the misery in the Lands Between. I tried to kill her too but it seems the game won't let you.

And why is that a bad thing? The Golden Order might as well be the Land's Between "not-c" regime, and the Shattering was a step toward demolishing that abhorrent system. Ranni wants to bring about an Age where all are as close to equal as can be. Odd that you're against this.

People saying Malenia or Millicent are forgetting they have magic space AIDS. Fia is a... necrophiliac serial killer or something. Tiche is a dead ghost slave. I could have gone the rest of my life happily not knowing what a waifu even was, but here we are.

I don't like Ranni, personally. She's a murderer and a criminal. Unworthy of the loyalty she receives from Blaidd and Iji. If the game gave me the option I would have jammed her doll form into Seluvis' potion and puppeted her. The perfect opportunity is right there.
Then I would deliver her and a fingerslayer blade to the Two Fingers on a platter. She would then replace Marika as the vessel and become a puppet goddess completely under their control. Eternally enslaved to the entity that she fought so hard against and caused so much suffering to defy.
That'd put a smile on my face. Justice served.

The only female character I felt any emotional connection to was Millicent and her relationship to the player character isn't really romantic. I helped her so many times along the road to the Haligtree and she has the option to fight by the players side more than any other NPC summon. She was a true friend and in the end all I could do for her was let her die with some dignity. Bittersweet.

So much this. “Ranni’s ending best ending” yeah ok simp let’s ignore the fact she is just like her father Radagon and is a total zealot for her moon cult and will stop at nothing to have her rule over the land.

Look at what they want for their rule. Radagon wants to subjugate the land. Ranni wants everyone to be free from castes and hierarchy and have personal freedom. You can't say their zeal for their goal is the same, as one is based on selfishness (radagon) and the other on selflessness (ranni). That's why Ranni's ending is viewed as the best ending, because it leads to everyone, even Tarnished, being considered on the same level, as equals.

She helped cause The Shattering. She murdered her half-brother Godwyn (by all accounts a good guy) in cold blood for her own selfish gain. Her actions resulted in untold misery across the Lands Between. I get why she did it but that doesn't mean I excuse her actions.

'Being attractive' is not enough for me. Raise your standards.

She also sacrificed half of her own being. It was a required evil in order to break out of the grasps of the únknown entity that controls the fingers from afar. By far not the worst sacrifices done, in order to try and achieve change.
