However, since you specified this was an Ash of War, I think you might be instead talking about Assassin's Gambit. This Ash is quite useful as not only does it muffle your footsteps like Assassin's Approach, but it also makes you partially invisible.
This makes it so the cone of vision that enemies have to see you with is much shorter than it otherwise would.
