1. Great Epee. Technically a thrusting sword but can be played like a spear, it allows you to attack while hiding behind a shield just like a spear. Can be found on the southern road from agheel lake. You'll see some ruins above a cliff with a group of peasants wandering back and forth down the dirt path. When you get close, there will be some soldiers and two mages at the top. Epee is in the chest at the bottom. Also if you go for Epee, Don't forget to grab the magical scroll that's on top of the ruin.
Takes str:15 and dex:16
2. great turtle shield. Boosts your stamina recovery and comes with a barricade AOW.
Can be found on the southern map (australia). It's a little tricky to get to: You'll see a guard tower attached to a cliff with a wind current that'll shoot you up to the cliff. You have to time your jumps on torrent to try and land on a piece of wood sticking out so you can double jump over the top wall and get to the other side.

This was the combo I went with when doing one of my dex builds and using these 2 together Was a pretty fun time.
There is the Lance, a great spear that exists in the starting area.

But it does take a str of 20 to wield. If you go south and tackle australia, You should accomplish enough ruins to reach str20 before hitting stormveil.
