I saw the same problem posted some time ago, people mentioned that downclocking might fix, unplugging the controller (if you are using one) might also fix, someone mentioned whitelisting it on the antivirus (if you use one), another person said find the anti cheat in program filesx86 and delete the .sys file, those are just some of the potential fixes but you can probably find a reddit thread about this.

Error 0xc0000005 is just an extremely generic Windows error code that means that some other app is trying to access Elden Ring's memory space. There's a TON of potential fixes for it. Copy/pasting the logs and looking at the error in more detail is necessary.

Specs?
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700F, 2100 Mhz, 12 Core(s), 20 Logical Processor(s)
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

like i said brand new pre built so im not sure how anything can be going wrong, this is like the 10th steam game ive played and the only one to cause issues

a similar error occurs to me and the game crashes. the problem for some reason is a RGB program i have for my RAM, it always messes with the easy anticheat, once i close that program the game plays fine. maybe you have some other program open that causes a problem.

....okay?
It was some speakers i had plugged in and a remarkably hard to uninstall 3rd party security, if anyone here has similar issues unplug absolutely every single non-vital piece of tech (everything not keyboard and mouse) from your computer, close every non-essential program and remove (maybe whitelist could work too?) the exe

Trend micro or norton ? Yes some USB external stuff is not compatible with the actual security functions of Windows by use a capture Routine instead of a api routine.

The DS1 port had these same issues. It's clear that the issue has gone unchecked for over a decade.
if game library is installed on C make sure you got sufficient rights too every files
such as your window account or local + system and TrustedInstaller all have full access
also adding "ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES" with modify rights normally fixes most probs

Otherwise it is most likely either a corrupted windows
Do a simple sfc scan to figure that out
type CMD in window search and run command promp as admin
then in console type
sfc /scannow

Otherwise the #1 culprit in almost all games in the past few years
is people lacking pageefile/Vram which especially DX12 is Absolutely Addicted to
But overall Vram always helps preventing mem leak problems by allowing more time/room
for the overflows to be cleared out
So
in window search type "advanced system settings" and open it
then go
advanced tab>performance>settings>advanced tab>change
uncheck automatically managed by system
and select your fastest drive
then set it to custom and put in atleast
initial 8196mb ~ max 16384mb
Apply and restart pc

normally 8~16 is plenty enough to fix the issue
but if you want more accurate tuning
you can follow the "1.5xof your Total Ram" Rule
so for example
with 16Gb/16384MB ram
ud want
initial 16384MB
and
max (16384 x 1.5) = 24576MB
