Pause

I do not understand why the vanilla game doesnt have a pause option.
I get it if youre connected to other players at that moment, but if you're offline or im your world alone i see no reason to not let the player pause.

there's a way to pause but it's very hidden and almost unintentional.
also it doesn't work during a multiplayer session ofc.

Elden Ring doesn't have a normal pause button which can be a nuisance if you want to take a break. However, there is a certain menu that pauses the game without getting the player banned. To pause, open the menu screen, select inventory, press the help button, and then select Menu Explanation.

Ive heard of that. Its so much just to pause the game, i cant tell how many times ive died because i needed to use the bathroom or someone knocked on my door. If im not connected to other players just let me pause with the start button ffs

In the last ten years of playing Souls games I peed repeatedly under my desk and lost all my social contacts. Not. No pause option is a basic staple of these games. And this one has the aforementioned workaround - I should make a raging thread about how that should be patched ;)
