My game wont take up the whole screen and keeps going in the top left
i tried lots of things like restarting the game and my pc aswell as having fullscreen as my default in launch options and the game doesnt let me change my resolution or window mode while i have the game open

This happened to me once in DS3. It was a while ago, but I'm pretty sure I hit ALT+TAB during the white-screen at startup to fix it.

I had the issue too but in my case nvidia "image scanling" is the cause so if you use nvidia gpu try take a look on "Nvidia Control Panel" and "Geforce Experience" to see if any of your app have image scaling enabled, disable them all and try again.

This problem appear if for the display does not exist a working 60Hz profile in NVIDIA Settings or the Profile mismatch the frequenzy the display provide (some have 59.940Hz instead of 60Hz) the solution is to set the Profile to 59Hz start the game and than set it to 60Hz this create a translation to the 59.940Hz the display provide.

I finally fixed it. i removed fullscreen from my launch options and have it start windowed instead and set the resolution to 1440p.

this is just a workaround it also work but the fullscreen problem is not solved.....

I forgot to mention that i was able to put it back in to fullscreen. my bad
