Will you consider to do anything with that person?. Answer fast without thinking more than once about it. That answer will determine your Elden Ring PC version future.
these unmotivated fears of old exploits always take so damn long to disappear, just because people are always so paranoid and also eager to believe the first hearsay they happen to catch.
go look at the patch notes of the first few patches and you'll see they'll mention stuff about invalid items being fixed. they won't say what they did in detail though, so I suspect it won't be enough to completely put you at ease.
the truth is: they made it impossible to drop invalid items on the ground, and to see them when dropped by someone else (since cheaters would be able to make it possible for them to still drop them). so, 100% fixed.
they also fixed some other exploits like "shadow realming" that could (only seemingly) "brick" saves.
source: very knowledgeable dudes who reverse-engineer the game. of course you'll have to trust me on this too.
To the OP, a lot of that paranoia comes from DS3 and its 1996-era anticheat. It hasn't been a problem in ER.
also this, yeah.
Have a backup save always. Replace your current one with it if previous method failed, also asap.
If you do this you may not even get banned, or your ban will be lifted shortly.
Any bans can be lifted if you provide detaled description of what happened (steam ID of the hacker may be helpful) to the bandai namco support service, the more evidence the better. Always make sure to mention that you replaced the save with the hacekd item with a backup, they have some sort of way to verify.
Ok...fine you are welcome and i still take you seriously and all. But with all due respect....this is the most pathetic and lousy excuse i had the pleasure to read about not willing to buy Elden Ring oh my Elden Ring.
Here i am, playing since relase. 1500something hours and i never got a ban and not just me....a lot of the people around can say the same.
