Stuck in Ranni's Rise

I don't know what to do, I looked it up for over an hour and can't leave Ranni's Rise. I logged in today and none of her followers are downstairs. There's a barrier around the tower so I can't leave. I can't travel to any grace sites. I can't talk to Ranni because she's sleeping and when I try to talk to her all she says is "...". I tried jumping off the tower to die and spawn back. I tried talking to Ranni regardless, resting and talking to her again. There's nothing I can do.

Sounds like a bug tbh. Are you playing with mods? Maybe a mod screwed this up. Normally you go up and talk to ranni, then talk with iji, Blaidd and Seluvis, then go back up and talk to ranni again and the seal around the tower should disapear. I never had to rest at the grace for this btw.

Old thread bro, but I am familiar with the bug you are experiencing as I encounter it in about 50% of playthroughs. The seamless coop mod typically allows you to teleport out of it but in the vanilla game you must have a friend summon you to their world in order to escape. Not sure why they never officially patched it.

My friend was locked inside the tower because of the seamless mod, couldn't teleport, nothing was working. Downloaded the debugger tool, from the Seamless Co-Op discord, you'll be able to force warp to a specific location. So they updated the Ranni quest, then teleported to the Round Table which fixed it. :)

Just jump off the cliff and die. The game will then return to normal.

Hit Ranni until she dissapears and go to the church of vows, there is a Celestial Dew close to the academy main gate, down where the merchant is. This will undo the action.

I had this happen to me just a couple weeks ago in NG+. I jumped off the cliff, my runes were easily claimed and the fog wall around the keep was gone.

Ranni has several points in her questline where she 'sleeps'. Usually while you are collecting the fingerslayer blade, and after that when she says shes leaving and buggers off to that part of Liurnia you can't normally reach. Try going to Renna's rise and see if the barrier is down.

Hey i know im late to the Party, but i got a fix, if you have this problem and have seemles coop, you want a friend to create a new character and join them, now get to Royal Knight Loretta and kill her, how you do that is up to you, i used debug tool to teleport to the nearest grace, then you get to rannis rise, talk to ranni and to the ghots your friend does not leave or talk to anyone, at last talk to ranni again and after you leave his world, everything is fixed.

Haven't done anything else yet, so no word on how borked the questline is. I hadn't been able to find Blaidd anywhere after meeting him in Ranni's tower initially, so probably pretty borked.
