Can I pre-complile shaders in this game?
I haven't played the game yet and I don't wanna do it until I fix the stutter if it's possible.
Is there any launch command or file I can modify in order to force the game to pre compile the shaders?

no, they use a proprietary engine and that's not something you can enable on your end

Yes... but only on Linux.

i love when a wiki makes baseless statements and dosent source them. from software switched to an early version of phyre during AC3, and never switched to anything else since. thats why every single game they have since has the exact same file structure, uses the same model files, the same mesh files, and why elden ring has code in it left over from the stock settings of phyres early itterations that are dummied out code.

Phyre

Due to a combination of vagueness, repetition, and stubborn wiki editors, the Souls series was for many years widely believed to run on Sony's Phyre engine. Once the games were actually examined internally it became abundantly clear that this was never the case, but in an amusing twist of fate it transpired that Metal Wolf Chaos XD, which was not developed by From, does actually use Phyre. To our knowledge this is the only From-adjacent game that has any connection to Phyre whatsoever.

i tried with this guide
https://myhightech.org/posts/20201031-steam-shader-precompile/

however to get the console to open up on the windows version i had to do this instead
1. Run box You can launch Steam with the console open. Make sure Steam is already running on your system. Tap the Win+R keyboard shortcut to open the run box. In the run box, enter the following and tap the Enter key. steam://open/console The Steam app will open (or maximize), and you will see a Console tab. Note: Use the command as is.

and then use the command "shader_build 1245620" instead.

but it doesnt seem to want to download any cache files for some reason. maybe there is a trick to it, or maybe it doesnt work at all, idk.

Wouldn't there be too many shaders? There are a lot of areas and effects in the game and I would imagine you'd be waiting for quite a while for all the potential shaders to compile.

I'm not an expert, though.

How can someone be so dense as to continue to misinform others, even after being proven wrong?

what about mods? wouldnt it be possible to have a mod that triggers particle effects and takes the camera across the map loading every area?

edit: my technical knowledge is almost 0, Im just brainstorming

proven? someone posted a link to a bottom tier wiki that makes the claim its NOT phyre engine, but makes absolutely no sourced claim on what it is or why it isnt phyre. where as anyone whos even looked at a phyre engine games files structure, can easily recognize said engine.

nobody can recognize during the file structure what engine is used. So far phyre engine does not support directx 12 so how could it be this engine ?
