Xbox controller doesen't work
hello everyone, i don't know why, but since the new elden ring patch came out my controller is no longer detected by the game, i tried everything but nothing works. I've tried other games and everything works fine. Has anyone had my same problem? If yes, is there a way to fix it?

Did you try wired connection? I use a genuine xbox series x controller and it works just fine. I only play wired.

yes, in fact, I too play with the wired gamepad, but it doesn't want to detect it

They removed native xinput support and are now relying on Steam Input API... Which is crap and a huge mistake.

For anyone living in EU and and facing the current controller issues, you have the right to a full refund regardless of play time, since the developers false advertise controller support and removed native xinput support.

What? Can you explain EU regulation stuff!? I can't search it well maybe it's a bit long time ago issue? I also use XBOX controllers and well I hope that's not that bad news.

You can use x360ce for any and all games. Literally never had problems with it.

The fact the developers removed xinput support in a patch, is what gives you the right to a refund.

That is pretty useless in this case, that software emulates xinput, which is useless when you using an official Xbox Controller, in the case of Elden Ring wouldn't fix the issue either, since the developers removed xinput support and are enforcing the Steam Input API.

So your first argument is it emulates Xinput and the game supports no Xinput. Jokes on you, it works fine. Like, right now.

Your second argument is they want to force to use steam controller support. Jokes on you, it is pretty damn terrible. My Logitech F310 had several games the controller support ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the controls. It is much easier to disable steam controller support and just copypasta your x360ce settings into each folder.

So unless Xbone controllers are trash (haha button layout), you'd have no issues. Ever.

The fact you can't tell the difference between the Steam Controller and the Steam Input API, says everything everything we need to know about you.

Is clear you out of your league and wasting everyone's time, and no one in their right mind is going to emulate the Xbox 360 Controller with an Official Xbox Controller.

If anyone has a crap controller in the middle of all of this is you, cause those of us who use official xinput controllers, don't need to emulate anything nor third-party software.

Suddenly your argument is about steam controllers? Mate stop jumping through some weird hoops to justify ad hominem. You're embarrasing yourself.

For PC gamers my controller is considered the best on the market. Logitech. And has native support.

Official controllers can work in wired mode without any batteries. I use my official Xbox Series X controller in wired mode.
