I have never played Dark Souls games before, is Elden Ring worth me getting?
I have been considering buying this game for a while now, but I have never played any dark souls related games before. Is Elden Ring new player friendly? Is the game good? Worth the money?

Every From Software game is noob friendly. You can enjoy ER without any Souls experience.

If you're wary of the difficulty, look up a few beginner guides. A few spoilers was worth it for me to get into what is now my favorite series.

ER is probably the most accessible for new players - and there were far more new players in this one than veteran. Try it out, man. I'd suggest to watch the first 1-2 hours of a Let's Play - you won't spoil yourself a lot and will see what the gameplay is actually like, and you will have some feeling for what to do, how to go about it. Also when you play, try out everything. Try all the different tools and game mechanics, try to explore everything - and make your own game out of it.

It's the most noob-friendly Souls game so feel free to jump in.

As long as you understand what the souls-like genre is and what to expect from it you can honestly jump into any game in the genre.

If you're averse to difficulty in gaming, then reconsider.

tldr- yes, you can enjoy this with no souls experience.

I've never played another souls game. I mainly play RPGs and only play action games occasionally. Elden Ring was pretty hard at first. In the beginning I could only play for about 30 minutes at a time because it was really intense. I am glad I stuck with it because it's probably my all time favorite at this point! I am pretty average skill wise, but have beaten it and unlocked 34 of 42 achievements.

You really earn it in this game. It's challenging but you can always leave a hard boss/area and then come back after you've gained a few levels or some new gear. The feeling you get as you're exploring the world and overcoming these challenges is unmatched in the video game space, imo. I would say my skills are average, at best slightly above average. I would say that If I beat it, it is in the capability of most people.

Yes. I love souls games but this is a new beast. It has a flexible difficulty and much easy to get into and huge AF. My Sim's and Stardew Valley playing wife even loves it.
