How to restore non-cloud save?
So I had cloud saving turned off for months, last month I deleted the game and today I installed it again, but it seems like I lost my save, or I got my save from my steam cloud from months ago.

My question is: can I restore my save, can I find it somewhere on my pc and use it again? (I never deleted any saves, so I think it should be possible to restore it)

The default location where your files are being saved is C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing.

Highlight both files make a folder where you find safe paste the files.

To Revert just copy / paste the files from the backup folder back to C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing.

When it prompts you to replace all files do so.

I always make five backups just to be safe every twenty five to thirty minutes. But name the folders whatever you want with a 1, 2, 3, 4

Mines like ERBackup1, ERBackup2.. etc

So in Elden Ring folder I have GraphicsConfig, AutoCloud.vdf and weird folder with lots of number. What should I do?

Did you try to Verify the Integrity of Game Files?

saves are in directory
C:\Users\Your_User\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing
where "Your_User" is the user you use to connect to Windows
...
if you started the game and chosen "New Game" your last save (before reinstalling game) is gone ...
peace !

I didnt chose anything, it just immediately loaded outdated steam cloud bullsht without giving me a choice. Out of 900 hours of playtime my existing chars have 300 combined... At least my main character is ok - i just lost NG+ playthrough with all ancient smithing stones and upgraded weapons, so its not that terrible, I'll suck it up.

Thanks guys for enlightening me about how this sht works.

Try to restore the folder %appdata%\EldenRing to a previous version.
If it doesn't work, buy a tissue for your maidenless tears.

game doesnt just erase your local data with cloud data, it always asks when they are different versions, you probably screwed yourself over
RandyBobandy Dec 14, 2022 @ 3:46am
The game absolutly does delete your saves replacing them with cloud data - happened to me twice already, for some reason sometimes cloud turns on after reinstalling and just overwrites local stuff W/O any notice...

Cloud is glitched, they said they fixed it and still people have issues. Always make a manual back up save and turn off the crap cloud
