yes it is hard at times but also rewarding. to me it felt really good to beat a boss i was stuck at the day before or even getting to the next grace
getting and trying different weapons is also fun and might even transform you from being a bloody pinata into a killing machine..
most of anything i enjoyed the hell out of exploring, cant even remeber when i had so much fun running around and looking for stuff in any other game
play a bit more, stay under 2 hours and decide again
Elden Ring is full of tools to make the game easier but also is full of stuff to make the game harder, how hard or easy it will be will depend on how you decide to play it.
If you go bang your head against Tree Sentinel or Margit with starter char, then it will be hard, if your char is a wretched/deprived then it will be even harder and if you dont go anywhere else either to get better gear, more lvl or even to understand more and improve at the game then it is all on your own fault about the difficulty.
Like every single souls-like game, buttom mashing is punished with hits and if your health is too low then it is easy to die over and over without doing anything to the enemies/bosses, being more tanky just mean more leniency toward it but even tanking and behind a heavy shield it still needed to understand basic concepts and mechanics to get through bosses and enemies, so it is not exactly "brain-dead" for that either.
Just play it more like a game of chess and less like a power fantasy rpg and, depending on how you decide to play and what tools you find through the game, it may very well become a power fantasy rpg, that untill M****** b**** of M****** decides to keep at never knowing defeat, but if that comes to that situation and you feel like you are worn out and want help, there is always the forum and someone to come to your rescue and teach M****** to know defeat
We can fix the latter for you on these forums. The choice is yours.
Dont know what this has to do with Elden Ring though >-<
Elden Ring is not a hard game if you choose to use all the op stuff in the game
