Is it just a CTD or is it crashing your pc right into a brick wall?
1. check if windows files got damaged in some ways:
to repair them you have to open CMD as administrator and run this command
sfc /scannow
2.check if game files got damaged in some ways:
to repair them there are two options:
2.1. verify the game files:
open steam library, click with the right mouse button on the entry of elden ring
click on properties
there you find on the left side the entry local files, click it
now there is a option to verify game files
after the verify is done, restart your computer and verify the game files again
2.2. if this is to complicated for you or the verify does not solve the problem:
deinstall the game
delete the game folder
reinstall the game
3. if 1. and 2. does not solve the problem check windows event viewer what is causing the problem and post the log here if you can not read it.
Glad to see you (and your helpful posts) back.
