Stuck in Lleyndel, Royal Capital - Invisible barrier?

To make the story short: I got to the point where you go up a big elevator and into a place guarded by 3 foot soldiers. I got there three times:

The first time, the area was seemingly open. I teleported away since I was out of FP and celurean tears, and I saw an enemy on horse beyond.

The second time I went there, there was a yellow seal. It impeded my passage. The seal said "Sealed by Morgott the Grace Given."

The third time I got up there, the seal was still there, but it was invisible; I could see the horseback enemy in the distance. If I interacted with the seal, it still said "Sealed by Morgott the Grace Given."

I went through what I assume was the rest of what's open to me in Lleynel, including the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. Not sure where to go next. Any tips?

It'd all be in your notes, if you've been to the Roundtable Hold by now - Acquire the Great Runes, then a door opens leading to information about what to do next. Somewhere along the lines, you're told to get 2 to unlock the seal. There's roughly 60% of the game back in the other direction you may want to explore more thoroughly first.

I currently have 3 great runes, though. Rennala's, Godrick's, and Radahn's. I also completed Ranni's questline, if that amounts to anything.

I wonder if there's a dialogue check missed or... maybe verify game files because that's not supposed to be the case.

So I'm trying to look into this area and my game just crashed upon loading into Leyndell. I went backwards from F. Lands grace. Not sure what's going on but I'll update.

I have had 3 consecutive crashes just moving around the area just beyond what OP has described. Might try again?

Yes, my thoughts are that you didn´t kill Morgott yet so you are unable to proceed to Consecrated Snowfields now.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. I somehow missed that you can climb a root near where Goldmask roosts, so I missed the Queen's Bedchamber grace and the Morgott fight.
