Is this game locked at 60fps?
Or has FromSoft finally learned how to give us unlocked framerates for once?

Want to play this game, but 60fps lock is a dealbreaker for me.

All DS games Inc ER are locked to 60fps

Why wouldn't this game be locked at 60fps?

Oh, I see. You think you're being clever by pointing this out while still being able to feign ignorance.

Just download Flawless Widescreen, and the game will be running unlocked without any glitches or the like. It's just that the game is a real mother to run at high framerates.

Oh, I forgot to mention....currently Flawless Widescreen only works through the "Seamless Co-op" exe. You still get achievements and everything. Anti-cheat is disabled and you won't be able to get on the official servers, getting invaded etc. BUT you can either do solo-play without any issues, or do some solid co-op with your steam mates with the odd glitch here and there.

PS: NO risk of getting banned from either Flawless Widescreen or the Seamless co-op mod.

No, it was an honest question. I dealt with it to play Sekiro, but I won't do it again. I have no interest in multiplayer, so maybe the guy who suggested flawless widescreen has the answer.

Same reason it shouldn't be locked at 720p.

Just japanese devs tying mechanics to framerate like in fighting games. Altough i wonder how it really depens on the Framerate. In Tekken when you play in 144fps the Framebuffer window is so little that combos become incredible hard but then again....i dont think Input Buffer is that important in Elden Ring.

Always fun when stuff that doesn't matter at all is a dealbreaker for ppl.

Mechanics are tied to frame rate. You can easily demonstrate this for yourself by going into your graphics card app and locking the frame rate to 30fps.

Not only will the graphics start to miss frames, but the game will also begin to miss inputs and eventually may even get 'confused' and not accept proper inputs at all!

Reminds me of the bad-old-days when developers tied their game mechanics to the system clock. Caused havoc when folks got faster computers! :)

right this game is getting very easy with framerate unlock because you have much more input frames than with only 60 fps, what means it is much easier to block, parry and evade.

It isn't 2010. Even my phone can display 120hz. It definitely matters.

No its not, game runs more than fine even 60 fps limits. You will notice it in a few areas but not a deal breaker.
