No there were gankers in every souls game. If people wanted to gank then they would gank.
Also there were complaints about invaders even calling them griefers in the first Dark Souls the only difference now is that the game is more accessible to casual players which means that there are more casual players to call them out.
No.
So, excuse me if I laugh at the concept of ganking, within the souls series. There are legit, unfair cases...But, for the most part, invaders are severely OP, from my experience.
*laughs in overleveled password summons*
"There are legit, unfair cases." I was careful with my words.
DS3 after the pontiff was always a good place to run into gankers.
Most of the time invader would show up to a world with host and 2 overleveled password sunbros, to add to that there are few people that use taunter tongue, so no help from 2nd red, but still highly probable that blue police will show up as 4th squad member. Meanwhile red has 5 estus and loses runes if he dies, same as host, and the reward for winning is noexistent really.
Matchmaking also takes in consideration not only lvl, but highest weapon upgrades, and last of which im not sure of - talisman pouches, which would also mean that both host and invader alredy likelly finished the game if both got all talisman slots. I will try to invade by myself at later time to confim that as my 3 invasions, even though all were against gank squad are not a sufficient amount to be 100% sure of it, but from descriptions gathered on wiki and forum, everything is set up in a way to help the host ward off invaders, and I'd love to see the percentage of succesfull invasions vs failed ones here.
I believe you. It's no accident to address ganking by describing twinking.
