Many players killed Varre due to him being annoying? I don’t know how you researched that, but you better start running if being annoying is a prerequisite to many people wanting to off you.

like seriously?? you couldn't make the same thing with varric the first npc that the player meet and many casuals players killed him dua to him being annoying/testing if you could hurt npc/ didn't see he start a quest or something and thought hes useless/ thought he respawn upon death/ didn't know you could make him not attack you again
but creating the same thing on this random npc is annoying here in 2:00

Woa, that's pretty cool. He turns into a Pest. Did not know that. Seems pretty specific.

people killed him calling them maidenless cause they thought other then saying 2 lines no point not trying to attack him and from combined reasons above
now stop avoiding main argue and explain to me how is it better to make that npc in this video respawn when killed and not varric and much much more people killed him then this very specific hidden npc that much less people probably met him

This is actually the opposite of you being right. It would seem to me, based on this video, that Gowry's turning into a pest is supposed to be symbolic somehow, hence why he returns to human form after. Whereas other NPCs don't because they're not pests, or some other evil thing, in disguise.

the player wouldn't know it, and how that dead pest become alive as the same person again?
it would make more sense if you kill him and discover this and he stay dead and why if you kill him again if you keep doing the questline he dies in this point?

Right. They wouldn't. I didn't. Secret dialogue. Cool stuff.

And no idea how to answer your question. Seems like a question from FromSoft writers.

Sometimes FromSoft rewards people for being violent. Sometimes it doesn't. I'm non-violent in these games, so I usually miss out on this type of stuff.

"We shall meet again, you and I. There are countless pests to choose from." (First time killing Gowry)

"We shall meet again. As many times as it takes. For you to understand." (Subsequent killing at Gowry's Shack after the first)

"Have you taken the lesson, now? Killing me is an exercise in futility. All is well, provided you understand. Let's just pretend it never happened, shall we?" (Dialogue after talking to him at Gowry's Shack after he has respawned)

you realized right in the same point if you kill him early he respawns but if you progress a bit if you kill him same spot he stays dead? fromsoftware obviously created it for a player that killed him in the start to have another chance

I won't theorize on the why. Just what is and isn't. I trust them to have made certain NPCs purposefully a certain way.

it's a solid proof they made it that way so the player who killed him have another chance in his questline while in varric they didn't do this

Yes. Those two NPCs are designed differently. We'll never know why.
