The point being, you have to beat Elden Beast to get the weapon that allows this kind of farming. NG+ is already a joke even without farming runes, so you're just making that worse.
Im going to be a hypocrite but fine....can live with that.
I would make NG7> much harder and with better rune drops, forcing everyone who really wants to develop their character to the max to actually do something with merit....
The 90% of the overstuffed guys are dull as ditch water, playing with katanas or anything spaming a single spell or L1...with 0 ingenuity. Makes the few of us who bother doing things with a degree of variety look bad
And yes i farmed albinaurics while binge watching whatever in my other screen but also did insane amounts of Radagon/Malenia kills co-op.
Demon's had Nexial Binding Stockpile glitch
DS1 was dragon head dup glitch
DS2 was a couple, but Giant Lord boss farm was biggest
DS3 was a parry-frame dup glitch
Bloodborne was a falling anim dup glitch
And who cares if they want to be level 500+. They need more Vigor first and foremost, but otherwise will likely never run into you in PvP so it doesn't matter.
And bragging about high level is whatever anyway since people will play through to NG7 and be there also, which is more of the bragging point they beat the game at that difficulty. Besides, with how much people want to say ER is too hard or preforms the most VIG checks mid/late-game, I would sooner be bragging about beating the game at the low level of 115 or something, while everyone else needs more.
I just think it would be funny if the devs pulled a fast one on you guys who farm that spot. I bet y'all like watching paint dry too. The Haligtree farming run is much more enjoyable and involves more skill. My point is how could you find the mass of runes from the Albinaurics enjoyable over playing the game how its, y'know... supposed to be played.
I also don't necessarily mind the farming large amounts, just that it should be at risk of being lost constantly throughout your farming experience imo lol. Where's the fun without the risk? It's almost like you're watching paint dry considering the relevance this game has in the real world.
What's that, never even heard of it, did it earn you more souls than farming the three winged knights at Lothric or the Drakeblood knight/Havel?
Even if someone did want to brag for some dumb reason, they could just lie and say they got the runes legit and no one would know or be able to prove otherwise.
You might have a point if you could get randomly matched with higher level players in multiplayer. but that doesn't happen. (Barring password summons, which would exist regardless)
Balance patches should be just that, to balance the experience. Not to spite the player. People like to feel like they're gaming the system, and leveling up is fun and addictive. Yeah, leveling up makes things easier. Welcome to RPGs, that's how it's always been.
Doesn't matter since the two will never interact unless they use a password intentionally
Thats mandatory if you want to hit RL 678 or above. Combined with co-op spam its actually fun and all, but you really need to have a proper grinder mindset and be commited to develop a single character making it a god.
Is this a good use of time? Of course thats subjective but as someone there i say yes, it is and this is the first souls game i bothered getting there or spamming NG+ for consumables.
I can use every single build of the game in the best way posible and of course im having a blast.
"People enjoy a game differently than I do, in a way that does not impact my personal experience with the game one whit; however, I am insecure enough to hope that these same people lose one of their routes to enjoying the game, because it is not a route I enjoy, and is therefore wrong.
What do you mean, 'my desire to control what other people do in the privacy of their own homes presages a career in politics'?"
