What game engine does fromsoft use to develop their souls game?

I've been really curious on what game engine fromsoft use to develop their souls game. I had did some research and it was pretty vague. At first i thought that maybe they used the unreal engine but didn't make a whole lot of sense to assume. I think the games were made by fromsofts own engine which may explain some reused animation for certain things. This might be a stupid question to ask but i'm pretty curious either way.

You are correct it is proprietary to fromsoftware, it's also considered "undocumented" software. It might not have a name at all because they have no plans to licence, and dont plan on marketing it, to anyone.

Completely proprietary. Some wikis say FromSoft uses Phyre Engine, but this is completely wrong. Modders and data miners have known this for awhile just by digging through the code. "Dantelion" is the unofficial name on the engine.

I believe Demon's Souls on PS3 was Havok Engine if I'm remembering the orange logo correctly. I assume over time they've tweaked it enough for it to be considered its own thing now.

EDIT: It seems Havok Engine is merely an addon for the in-game physics, so I think others are correct that it is their own in-house engine.

I think you are referring to the Havok Vision.
