Fia's quest.

I'm on NG+3 and I still haven't managed to complete Fia's quest and fight Fortissax.

I've got the dagger from her, given it to D, spoken to her in the roundtable hold, taken D's armor, found her in Deeproot depths and hugged but she just tells me about Godrick returning, doesn't mention cursemarks or anything else and the teleporter only takes me to Leyndell.

What am I doing wrong? Or rather, what SHOULD I be doing?

have you done rannis quest and gotten the death rune ?

it mean it sounds like you did everything right, if she went to the roots and you hugged her, then all you need to go is give her half of the cursemark, then rest again and she should be sleeping.

theres no real way to fail her quest aside from killing maliketh.

I don't see where you gave D's armor to D. Did you do that?

I just checked fextra and it does indeed say to give it after. I remember giving it before. Either way I doubt he would, it's a scripted event.

he doesn't really spawn until after you complete her quest, as post content.

that said: you dont have to do it either, up to the TC

This is the crucial question which the OP hasn't answered yet so everything else is irrelevant. I've done this quest 3 times. First two times I gave D's brother the armor then killed him when I found him gloating over Fia's body (I like Fia). Third time I didn't give the brother the armor so he never showed up at Fia's little hideaway. The quest finished normally all three times. All you need is the Curse Mark from Ranni's quest.

so close, you just need to give her the other half of the curse mark which is on top of divine tower in liurnia, then when she falls asleep there is an option to enter the dream

Once you get D's armor (after Fia kills him), you should go to Nokron, and talk to his brother (he's just before the 2 gargoyles fight). Give D's armor to him. After that, you'll find Fia in Deeproot dephts. Talk to her a couple times (exhausting all possible dialog).

Then save at the grace. When she's sleeping, touch her and you'll get to fight Fortissax.

Btw... after defeating Fortissax, rest at the grace again, so things keep going (I don't want to spoil it).

I didn't read all the posts, so if someone has pointed this out before... well, sorry.

I don't think you need to finish Ranni's quest (but I'm not sure).

But I was in the middle of her quest, cause I was in Nokron the first time I've found D's brother. And Rogier was the one who told me (at the Round table) that he was D's brother. After that... well, I did what I've explained in my previous post (after talking to Fia and doing the dagger stuff, of course).

So, maybe you don't need to finish Ranni's quest, but sure you'll need to start it. Unless you kill Radahn and go straight to Nokron without even going to Ranni's tower. But I have no idea about that.

I would like to be more helpful, but... there's too much stuff to remember XD

No. If you complete Rannis quest then it will override every other ending, making it moot to complete Fias quest. All you need to do is get the curse mark.

Fia talks about a white half circle that looks like a centipede, it's the curse mark that you need.
