ELDEN RING

Why is Hoarah Loux of all people the F*@king Elden Lord and one of the final bosses?
This is gonna be a long post. First time posting on Reddit so bear with me.

I am almost finished with the Game. Just got done beating Hoarah Loux. Only Radagon and Elden Beast to go

I have just one question. Why is Hoarah Loux of all people the f*@king Elden Lord? He's not some god with great Powers or whatever. He's just a WWE wrestler. Not even very strong at that. Nothing else shows that he should have anything to do with the title of Elden Lord.

Queen Marika came to him and literally handed him the Elden Crown on a Silver platter. Without that, he wouldn't be some great Lord. He'd be just another A***hole who's really hard to kill. .

Marika's Children could easily beat his a** like a Drum. Lady Malenia would shred him within minutes if he showed up to her half-naked like that. General Radahn would bury him alive under 100 tons of rock, atleast when he was in his prime. Even Malekith and Rennala would be quite the threat to him as Rennala in her prime was known to match Radagon's Strength who is a literal god.

FromSoft games often had Old Men as Endgame bosses and important Characters. Demon Soul's had King Allant, Dark Souls had Gwyn, Lord of Cinder, Bloodborne has Gehrman, The First Hunter, Dark Souls 2 had Vendrick. Dark Souls 3 had Slave Knight Gael and Sekiro had Sword Saint Isshin.

Each of these endgame bosses were insanely strong warriors in their own right but that wasn't all. There was so much more to their characters, their stories and their personalities. Each was unique and had a certain....wisdom to them. You could tell just by talking to them.

Hoarah Loux is just a f*@king boxer in comparison. Can't help but feel disappointed with the game.

Yeah he's just a dude. If I understand the background correctly Queen Marika was the emissary of the outer god. Radagon is/became somehow an aspect of her or something and Marika's offspring were the "demigods".

Also thought the fight with him was sick and they did a really cool job of keeping the identity of the boss the same while having a much more intense phase 2. I wish this was the last boss in the game as the fight after it was the disappointing one that makes little to no sense IMO.

Because Marika needed a pawn strong enough to be of use in her conquest, and dumb enough to be easily discarded once he completed her objective. Horah Loux also had the virtue of being apparently as charismatic as a potato, considering that once she dismissed him form the Lands Between, Horah Loux went “yes, dear.” and NOT a single one of his Crucible knights thought of opposing his decision or challenging her rule.
I'm pretty sure the crucible knights were pissed off and Marika revenged on some of them, seeing how some of them ended up.

Nah: if the Crucible Knights even thought of going against the Golden Order, Radagon himself would have quartered them (they already show symbols which precede the Golden Order, so they are a risk for Marika’s Church).
Instead, they participated in the Shattering, each and every one of them picking a side: some stayed with Morgott (the 2 we find in the Capital) others picked a different patron and demigod. But only because they never reneged on their oath to Marika, their existence was tolerated.

Elden Beast is the emissary for the Greater Will, who essentially conscripted / enslaved Marika.
didn't hoarah F'ed up the giants and their god's emisary? which i'm not sure but i think it was all of them, like the fire god manifests on the giants

He's a warrior, a regular guy, not born a demi-god or a god. So this is fitting, he's just like you.
thats a bit optimistic

Nah it was him, under her orders.
You can see how a woman who values strength would find this guy attractive.
When it hits the fan , this guy gets naked and rips people apart with his bare hands.
Radan can have his swords , Morgot his sword and omen powers.

This guy is gonna stick his thumbs in your face holes and rip your skull in half!
I can tell you why. Because this game has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pseudo intellectual cryptical story and it just ♥♥♥♥♥ with you. i stopped caring about if anything makes sense in this game after like 2-3 hours of gameplay. I`m just here fo the athmosphere, landscape and the bosses. (Whereass 50% of the bosses are WAY easier to kill than 50% of the stronger trash mobs.)

Description of Troll's Golden Sword:

Sword given to the lesser giants who fought for the Erdtree
during the War against the Giants long ago.

Godfrey wasn't a one-man army.
never claimed he did it alone, i claimed he was the one to battle against the giants.

i just cheked and yeah, it is said in his armor description:
''He led the War against the Giants. Faced the Storm Lord, alone. And then, there came a moment. When his last worthy enemy fell. And it was then, as the story is told, that the hue of Lord Godfrey's eyes faded.''

He, and the rest of Marika's army, or at least some portion of them.

Edit: but also...

Marika is the one to curse the last remaining Giant.

Yeah, Marika cursed him, but based on descriptions she didnt participate directly on the crusade against the giants, that was Godfrey and his army.

Crucible knights were more treated like obsolete, prehistoric beings unfitting to serve the new Golden Order. Marika needed Godfrey and his Crucible Knights to conquer the Lands Between. There was a regime change after which led to Marika's marriage with Radagon.
