I have 1300hours of pure PVE and this thread f....ducking makes me sad. Because for a bloody change i want a PVE CENTERED thread....but this is a BAIT thread.

I don't have to be disrespectful or rude to make a point through your aggression, bud, these are just the facts. I'm much more experienced with this game through my experience in other games than the vast majority of people - but, notice, nowhere in this thread until your antagonism did this become a part of the discussion. It's not necessary to make yourself look bad through attacking somebody and losing the argument. No further comments necessary.

The caveat is that they've only separated damage, but balance includes the timing of movesets, weapon arts, and spells. The timing is shared between pvp and pve. The majority of nerfs and buffs have been on timing and function rather than damage. Separating damage is probably the best way to handle balance, but it will never be possible to completely separately balance the two. I think they've just reached a point where they've basically finished balancing the aspects shared between PVE and PVP, and now they're moving on to polishing by adjusting damage separately.
Ya'll are never getting hoarfrost stomp spam back. Status builds are going to stay closer in effectiveness to other builds. You can't have your ridiculously fast crouch poke on your colossal sword back because it makes no sense for a weapon that big. You can't have infinite i-frames and complete positioning control like the old BHS gave. These were all shared functional issues that separate damage scaling would make no difference towards.
Now, people in PvE can point out to the devs what things are terribad in PvE and make no sense to exist in the game other than for PvP.
To entertain any of the notions within said comments is to invite further inflammatory behavior. Nobody wants this. Please remove it.
