More like the other user Said, but about tf2 marriage, and yeah ESO is a bit absurd for taxing It so expensive, 100 crowns would be more fair ir being a bonus for opening one of the deluxes packages.
But its for the fun ingame with that Special someone, not irl issues though
My wife and I *just* watched this episode the other night. We have the boxed set, and are working our way through with an episode or two before bed.
To become Elden Lord is to marry the current God, that's what Godfrey and Radagon(yeah he is the other half of Marika but you get the idea) did, and the player also marry Marika in the Elden Lords endings, even if she is now a statue... Lord and God are a pair, that's how it is in Lands Between.
For Frenzy endings, you became "Lord of Frenzy" and destroy the world, so of course you don't marry anyone...
In Ranni ending, she become the new God of Lands Between, and that means you as her consort are now the Lord of Lands Between.
And you think Ranni betrayed Iji and Blaidd, send assassins to them? You can have whatever opinion about her, but you can't just make things up...
She literally said "Blaidd, and Iji both... Art willing to give too much to me." "Ah, should I add thee to the list? Another one, kind of heart. As kind of heart as they.", and even said "tell Blaidd and Iji I love them"
All these things above are from item descriptions and dialogues.
Item description said about Radagon/Marika & Godfrey & Marika. In which case, we dont have a cutscene marrying Marika, Every ending cutscene you just use Marika's head while in fact you kill the current god/world will of Elden Beast. Then you marry Ranni, or you have one of the four ends of Elden Lord (Curse/Death/Golden Order/Fragmented). You can assume "you're marrying off as EL, Curse of dungeater, Marrying of death, Golden Order, and fragmented as single". But seriously this sounds BS to me. Both Dark souls 3 & ER we have a clear marriage scene with npcs.
Becoming the Lord is the goal of the protagonist, after all.
