Appropriate Level For Each NG+
I was wondering what an appropriate level for each journey was.

I started NG+1 at level 125 and it wasn't too easy without cheesy guns/spells, summons, coop, great runes or loosing any runes collected in this run (about 4M so far). Now I hit the endgame (Fire Giant, Snowfields...) and it feels much harder. Even Anastasia one-shot me. :D

What are your experiences and recommendations? Should I level up a bit?

Honestly, I'd say that 125 can get you through NG+7 if your build is solid enough and you are skilled enough. My character is 150 at NG+7, but his vigor is only 40. So unless you can dodge most attacks and know boss mechanics enough to have vigor that low at max NG+ cycle, then you definitely want to have at least 60 vigor no matter what RL you are. Obviously you want to max out your weapon upgrade if possible since that makes a big difference in dmg output. Aside from that, just gotta git gud.

I'm not sure if this is correct now, but it's sort of what I"m using as a guide:

Yes, I'm are of the caps but my character is nowhere near hitting them at level 125.

You should journal that ♥♥♥♥ here.
Start your ng+, play how you do, level up casually and see where you're at, at the end. Rinse and repeat. Or look up the increase in enemy stats, do the same increase to your level.

You should have hit one of the soft caps at 120. Are you running a TRUE quailty build, where all stats are equal?

Wow, that's impressive! Are you willing to share your build? I don't think I have the skill or the persistence to get to NG+7 at 125.

Good idea. Are you saying I should spend my 4M runes right now and see what happens?

To be clear, I never got to NG+7 at RL125. The only character I have gone through NG+7 is with my RL150 one. I am using a quality build so that I can use as many weapons as possible. From the top of my head, I think I have around 40 vigor, 25 mind and endurance, 48 str and dex, 20 int, 18 faith, and 10 arcane. I would probably drop some points from vigor and put 50 str and dex, but since I do co-op and getting hit is inevitable, I want to have just the bare minimum survivability.

:D That was the initial idea of this run, but I hadn't felt the need to level up until now. Perhaps it's time. The bloody Fire Giant took me 16 tries.

Save scum! Back up that save, do your damn thing, and if there are any regrets copy that old save back.

Got you. Thank you for sharing, that build of yours sounds really interesting! I guess I'd spend most of the extra 25 points in damage. 36 vigor only feels a bit too little right now - maybe 40 (stuff cap) would do.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I've always been on the *play the hell as you like* side. If you enjoy spamming L2 or Kamehameha everything, go for it!
Thanks for me reminding me not to overthink stuff, sunbro.

Right now I am mainly using dual Godskin peelers with my mainhand one being Black Flame Tornado and offhand being Flame of the Redmane. My main talismans are the claw talisman, rotten winged sword insignia, and red sword insignia and I alternate the 4th with either Shard of Alexander or Millicent's Prosthesis depending on if I am facing a large and slow boss (e.g. Elden Beast, Placidusax) where Blackflame Tornado becomes useful or Millicent's Prosthesis if it's a boss where that move isnt very practical for.

Also like to buff my weapons up and use the Fallingstar Beast Jaw WA on birds in Crumbling Faram Azula, so that's why int is 20 as well as faith being 18 and arcane 10.

I will admit my build is not min-maxed by any means, so this definitely isnt a build to absolutely shred a boss compared to a bleed build. But it definitely does dmg and has versatility, so that is something I really enjoy about it.
