Which ending is better? Age of Order ending or Age of The Stars ending? (No Major Spoilers Please)

I'm thinking of doing another playthrough of Elden Ring and don't know which ending to do next, I did the normal ending before and this time wanted to go for a different ending and thinking of choosing between two endings that seems like the best endings, Age of Order and Age of The Stars, I only slightly saw what the two endings are about but can't decide which ending is the better one

btw why is Serpent Hunter REALLY Good for PvE? I know this is unrelated to my main question but I seen many people say Serpent Hunter is good for PvE, and I don't know if that's true since I have not even fought Rykard (or whatever his name was) in my first playthrough

I don't really see how you can interpret Goldmask's ideology as the death of free will. Rather, it is freedom from being subject to the will of unpredictable gods and demigods.

This is very similar to Ranni's goal, where she is willing to go to any length to free herself from the Greater Will. The key difference I think is that Goldmask thought the Golden Order was a good system that just needed to be fixed, but Ranni was so disillusioned with it that she sought to uproot it completely.

Yeap, sounds very reasonable.

Depends what you mean by 'better ending'. If you haven't done the side quests leading up to the ending then Age of the Stars is the best by far. Ranni's quest is the longest and most complicated side quest. It really feels like it is the main story quest of the entire game. If you mean 'morally' then neither is better. Age of Order is the fascist ending and Age of the Stars is the selfish 'cut and run' ending, leaving the Lands Between to wallow in the mess you left behind.

Yep, people tend to ignore what strengthening ideology and complaining about the "fickle nature of gods and demigods" means, because in Elden Ring Gods and Demigods aren't the same as the Outer Gods and Goldmask was concerned with the former being no better than men.

So yeah, it's at best a weakening of free will and the strengthening of the Goldrn Order with nothing aimed towards the Outer Gods themselves.

Age of stars best quest line for the ending. Frenzied flame is by far the best ending in general as well as best cut scene. Not even close.

I do wish you could keep the burning eyes for all the NG+ playthroughs if you wanted. Dare I say...that would be FIRE.

How is the Age of Order supposed to invoke a sense of fascism?
It is the fixing of a flawed system with the potential for perfection, where the only real thorn lodged in the workings is the insidious influence of the outer gods and the selfish indulgences of Marika/Radagon and their demi-god children, all of whom by the time of the Age of Order are either entirely cut off from interfering or outright murdered by the player's own hands.

It is the fixing of a flawed system with the potential for perfection, where the only real thorn lodged in the workings is the insidious influence of the outer gods and the selfish indulgences of Marika/Radagon and their demi-god children, all of whom by the time of the Age of Order are either entirely cut off from interfering or outright murdered by the player's own hands.

Because it is literally warping the laws of reality in order to strengthen ideology, and an ideology that was legitimately authoritative and brutal in its oppression of anyone that thought differently then themselves.
