Which boss took you the most attempts?

On any playthrough, which boss took the most attempts to finish, aside from the usual outliers like Malenia, and Godskin Duo.

Mine would have to be Astel during Ranni's quest. This bugger took me about 10 attempts to beat, the next being Radagon at 8.

Besides Malenia, If I recall correctly I'd say the Crystalis x3.

I had a helluva time with that Crucible Knight and Misbegotten Warrior duo boss. I was highly underleveled when I stumbled upon them, mind you. I didn't give up though and felled them after about 15 attempts (not yet knowing how to use my accumulated ash summons).

Malekith. His speed, high damage, and constant HP-draining was a nightmare for me. Even more so than Malenia, funnily enough.

Radahn... approx. 50

Beginning phase with the Shooting is okay if you use the I-frames of the Horse-dismount

But its once again a Boss which is MUCH taller than the screen and he has Fast spinning attacks, which are "overwhelming" and hard to look at since there is so much going on.

2nd phase when he comes flying in has a HUGE AOE which is 100% instakill if you are near it.

Main menu. The amount of times I've gone to play, only for my attempt to be thwarted by that blasted main menu. I start the game, wait for it to load, then quit out after losing desire to play.

I don't remember how many tries each one took since i lost count.

Other than Malenia? The Valiant Gargoyles.

The Runebears.

Seriously now:
The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Valiant Gargoyles (12 tries) and Malenia (28 tries).
However, the Gargoyles were a very tedious and unenjoyable fight. As opposed to Malenia, which was fun and allowed me to experiment with various things to defeat her.
All the other bosses and minibosses went down in under 10 tries. Surprisingly enough, Maliketh went down in 3 tries and Radahn in 5 tries (and he didn't even make it to second phase) - but probably they got nerfed when i played the game.
There is only one secondary boss i didn't fight and defeat - the Dead Rite Bird in the Consecrated Fields. I totally hated those and their bullcrap, and by that time i was really fed up with them.

they are nerfed now, just 2 attacks on you and last just watching on you and do nothing

maybe they are nerfed now but at the time I hunted them, they were insane

Malenia was a joke in comparison.

Other than Malenia.
Margit the Fel Omen. I quickly realised I was under leveled when I reached him but the fight was so damn good I just kept at it until I got him. Was a real fist pump moment when he went down.
