Name 3 things you hate about Elden Ring
We all love the game here, but let's cut the BS - no game is perfect, so name 3 specific things you hate about the game. /r/eldenring is nothing but meme fiesta, so maybe here we can have some more discussion type post

Mine would be:
  • Waterfowl Dance on Malenia

  • Elden Stars on Elden Beast and him moving way too much to a point of it feeling like cat and mouse game

  • asymmetric invasions - such a freaking BS you don't invade solos by default and often end up 1 vs 3.

3 oh dear another wanting solo invasions whatever. Should have said connection errors or invasions are unbalanced.

Ofc I want solo invasions, that's what made invasions cool. Now it's waste of time going 1 vs 3 with halved flasks, unless area has super strong mobs that you can use to your advantage, and sadly the only good area where you stand the chance is around Godskin Duo - because those knights are almost the only viable helpers. Plus there were covenants so you had rewards to chase for participating in invasions. Here - there's literally NOTHING worthwhile.

I hate that there are no powerstance greatshields.
I hate that invasions retain their parasitic and contradicting relationship with co-op.
And most importantly...
I hate that the game ends. :c

Don't hate but get annoyed at.

1- Targeting
2- Interface including inventory management, crating etc: Very clunky indeed. Having to manually move your cursor around the map, please. What is wrong with a simple click?
3- Mouse and keyboard controls are below par and not very well thought out. 'which is it, Q or ESC'? Make up your mind. Sometimes, most times, you have to enter commands form the keyboard and the next from on screen only. Why not both? Multiple keys that do the same thing, then for no reason do separate things. Control system is all over the place and can make you dizzy.

And NO, I cannot use a controller, tried but failed. Me and controllers are the worst of enemy's.

Its not going to happen and that discussion has been done to death. Most who want solo invasions just want to bully noob players with their twink builds

that's just poor excuse - you can always just set the game to offline mode if you don't want to be invaded. Why even online? For freaking troll messages? :feste:

Maybe players just want to have fun with friends so why should they set the game to offline, seriously get over yourself

1 Bosses being made with multiple players / ashes in mind, mostly the later ones (instead of adjusting once multiple players and ashes are present).
2 The main game after Leyndell Capital being very badly made by comparison to everything before (Mountain tops have way to much space for the content on it, and the optional legacy dungeon being a complete copy and paste, from the whole level to the enemies in it), I do like Haligtree up to Malenia, though, those levels are great, despite the hate for the platforming, cause it's just freaking amazing to walk over tree branches, just like deep below over roots!
3 game speed, it's slightly too fast, I really hope future Fromsoft souls like get a bit slower again, or the gameplay is different, like Sekiro and Bloodborne, where the higher speed is more manageable duo to your character moving different

1 & 3 - well that's mostly just final bosses. Everything until Maliketh (or Malenia - depending where you go first) is not that fast honestly, idk - it almost feels like two completely different teams worked on bosses. Same goes for difficulty - 95% of bosses are piss easy, you can literally first try most of the if you don't play greedy, no learning really needed. And then those 5 final bosses of a sudden feel like hitting mountain - very fast with no room to really breathe and require quite a lot of learning.

If I had to draw difficulty graph, it would look like this: ___________________/¯¯

Oh I know. When your walking along minding your own business and a boss pops out from under a cabbage leaf and kills you. Now that area is blocked off and you can't enter to get your stuff back unless you can beat the boss which you have no chance. Stuff gone never to be seen again.

I didn't know my response was up for discussion, given you just wanted to know 3 things we hate, but while we're at it, no, I think a lot is too fast for my taste. They already slowed down the behavior of enemies as soon as multiple ones are triggered, including bosses, so they thought about it, too. Enemies now often stand around like it's a Batman game, where each enemy waits its turn. That's obviously because your don't have the gameplay mechanics available to deal with multiple enemies going at you at ones. The triple crystal bosses are a good example. Now most of the time 1 attacks you, while 2 stand around watching you, if you are solo. If I was able to move like in Bloodborne or Sekiro, there would be no issue, but I can't. My ideal soulslike speed is somewhat between Bloodborne and Dark Souls 1. DS3 is already on the edge for me. That's a matter of taste, sorry if you disagree. It's also the reason why I like the Surge 1 more than the Surge 2, if only the Surge 1 had the amount of content and bosses as the sequel...

Low weapon variety by class

Low fashion choices(It's my personal grudge because there is no armor like Nameless King's and it's my favorite by far)

PvP in general is not fun, unless you cheese, or dumb hundreads of hours into it
