Often, they're the same folks playing the "I was here first" as if it means a damn thing--despite having started with Dark 2 or 3 (or even 1, honestly; "I was here first" is a fool's game, because the claim is almost *always* wrong).
They are another resource you have at your disposal. Nothing more or less.
No. I have a recorded co-op of Radagon and the jelly beast video i will not post here for the sake of spoilers and you can clearly notice the beast does its best to lay down the smackdown equally on every one from the 3 man party.
Without summons you have to actually learn how to fight properly.
Now even if it is unfair, if you find it fun then it doesn't matter. All that matters is that you are entertained and play how you want to play. It's your game, do what you want. Just don't claim that it's a fair fight, because it isn't.
Then, I remembered the 10+ times I died to her low HP summon spam that basically traps you into constant dodge between her projectiles and a bloodhound knight / troll / dragon / pack of wolves until you eventually screw up or give up.
It felt good helping my Kaidan chop her to bits.

I formally object.
Any fight you win with any tools in the game is fought properly and is fair. Enemies bring weapon arts and summons, too, and some abilities you can't even have yourself.
What weapons you want to use or not is a matter of personal playstyle, nothing more.
Btw, even with summons I had to learn how to dodge Malenia, how to not die to Maliketh within seconds and how to deal with Godfrey's endless stomping.
