It's actually been confirmed by the mod author on Discord that EAC is the culprit for most of the vanilla game's disconnection issues. So you're spot on with that one.
it uses the offline wrapper to ensure no EAC, which in and of itself allows the game to run better, along with a lot of other mods to improve performance to exist (haven't used those, but i did see them)
and then to top it off, the seamless co-op works well, there is issues no doubt but not having to do the song and dance to play with a friend goes a long way, even when things weren't working right i was having fun cause i was chatting with a friend and we were both making progress without having to fight every boss twice.
No problem! Definitely takes out 'some' of the lag from the game as well without it running. The mod does have it's share of issues, but honestly? A much better experience overall compared to how multiplayer is now in the game.
1. Play in widescreen mode with no stutter.
2. Can play with cosmetic mods.
3. It's not an easy mode like what some believe.
What I don't like:
1. Can't play with random players - friends only and everyone must vote to warp to another grace or into Evergoal.
2. Some bugs need to be fixed.
And considering how many people dislike invasions at this point, combined with FS not making them appealing to new players, I'm not mad at anyone for wanting this mod PURELY to opt out of invasions entirely.
All of this coming from someone who likes invasions.
I know I'm a year and change late to this but, nah. I'm treating myself. I'm really tired of trying to play with friends and having one of three scenarios happen.
1: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shows up with dragon's breath in narrow corridors with no way to go around to attack them and kills everyone every time you try to go past specific areas with friends.
2: Way over leveled ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with way better gear shows up in newbie areas when you and a friend try to start new characters.
3: Meme character that tries to kill you.
Admittedly, three is not bad. Everyone else? ♥♥♥♥ 'em. Forced invasions are ♥♥♥♥ and should not be a part of these series.
