Care to elaborate a little?
Or maybe it was my OP who was too short: from many descriptions scattered in the Lands Between, the nightfolk, the original inhabitants of the Eternal Cities, were capable of astounding feats. Nevertheless, their power in the end failed when the Greater Will condemned their kingdom (?) to the Depths, scattering the survivors to the wind… I would be interested in understanding if the nomadic merchants are among those survivors, who at a later date created the nomadic caravans. Or at least if it is a plausible interpretation: hence this thread.
Those are onyx lords. From the in-game description:
"A race of ancients with skin of stone who were said to have risen to life when a meteor struck long ago. They were called lords in reverential fear of their destructive power."
One of them was teacher to Radahn in gravitational magic (who, being of Carian lineage, did not have access to it naturally). Ties to the Nightfolk are possible, but beyond the scope of this thread.
Even screenshotting doesn’t seem to provide a definitive answer, because of their leathery and sun kissed faces:

It certainly does seem to err on the side of silver… but it isn’t enough for a definitive confirmation.
