um no why would it be when im waiting hours for invasions
bcoz everyone hated the invasions before long this mod...
SImply bcoz invaders just use broken builds like invisible carian retaliation, insta death blight glitch just by standing still.
rivers of blood spammers etc..
Yeah go figure why everyone hated it.

All of that got patched the first 2 months wtf? So what hate things all you want... that doesnt mean we deserved to get casted aside. Thats BS

Well no ♥♥♥♥ sherlock the L is the mod team not involving invaders. L. Idc what nobody says we are part of this community like anybody else.
Invaders were never a core part of the formula in the first place. From even keeps nerfing them repeatedly from game to game. Elden Ring shipped prior to this mod with a heavily disadvantaged Invasion format and people were already saying invasions were killed by the developers themselves long before this mod arrived on the scene. Now you're just using it as a scapegoat to shuffle the problems off your idols when this board is littered with the remains of topics placing the blame squarely on Fromsoft's shoulders.

Additionally, PVP-based online open world RPGs have existed for literally decades. They are niche products that eventually die off because they cannot sustain a market without the casual players. Shadowbane, Darkfall, Mortal Online, Dark and Light, Black Desert, ArcheAge, Lineage, DAOC, there have been plenty of instances of these types of games that eventually are scrubbed from existence or reduced to only the last few diehard whales keeping the servers up while actual cooperative experiences thrive. The games that do the best are the ones that implement heavy casual elements like EVE Online or Albion, where the majority of its playerbase never even leaves the safe zones.

Always the same comments are made, recently even in New World, for developers to "stop listening to casuals" (which isn't even what happened here, casuals made their own mod) yet as has been proven repeatedly with past dead titles where developers did exactly that... the hardcore market is incapable of sustaining itself without them and catering to the hardcore eventually cannibalized the playerbase.

There is nothing unique about invasions. PVP ganking has existed in online games since before the new millennium. I still have fond memories of murdering people in Ultima Online and taking all their stuff. The only difference appears to be that you randomly connect to them instead of randomly encounter them in the world. This is purely because Fromsoft does not host their open world on dedicated servers of monstrous size like a true MMORPG where you can encounter players on your server just by walking and finding them. It's the same mechanic with a more limited pool due to the developers being cheap.

It dont matterrrrr you guys arent getting it. Doenst matter how big of a part we played in a community. We are still part of it and should be involved. Thats BS

Nah, it greatly extended the longevity. If anything the ganking twinks were shortening it by driving people out of wanting to play with their friends which many will outright stop playing the game because of.

Co-op mod has gotten rid of the single most frustrating mechanic of the game for me - constant disconnects by errors or by a death or boss kill. Completely eliminates that. Not to mention the bosses when you play with 3 or 4 people on normal not-twink characters are really challenging with the huge HP scaling.

I do hope one day Seamless Co-op can find a way to incorporate some sort of balanced invasion system, as I enjoy invasions, but no. The statement of this topic is absolutely incorrect.

The game hasn't changed. Your copy is still identically and fundamentally the same. Coop mods exist for multiple games that don't even have a coop mode by default.

Well no ♥♥♥♥ sherlock the L is the mod team not involving invaders. L. Idc what nobody says we are part of this community like anybody else. we shouldnt just be cast aside its not cool
You can activate pvp in the mod apparently, but it's definitely still hurting the community. The activity in this game was already dying from my experience since even before the mod I had to wait ages in popular spots at both 120 and 150, even at 135 which puts in between both and still have to wait forever. This is both for duels and invasions. This mod might be the final nail in the coffin, but as already stated above, it might not necessarily be the fault of this mod exactly, but FS for not doing anything about random disconnections.

That's to be expected sadly, because they don't care much for PC at all. Just barely enough to add the game to it and that's why we have this problem now since the mod fixes what FS doesn't bother to do and unfortunately disables invasions and that's a problem. If only the mod creator included invasions as well and there wouldn't be an issue at all, but no...

People are still invading as we type, just go somewhere else. If 1 mod can remove all invasions, I guess it wasn't really popular. Maybe your thread should be asking where are the most popular places to invade instead of blaming a guy that gave people options.
why would people want to be invaded by the same youtube meta builds over and over again running around wasting time?

It's not incorrect. The only other thing to achieve outside of beating the game is: Speed runs, NG+ and PvP. If you completely remove PvP The longevity gets removed along with it dude. Its not rocket science. I dont even have to explain further how you are wrong.

Its not just about YOU. YOU arent the only person who plays. See this is yall problem bro, yall just think about what benefits YOU. L

Say what you want, but this mod is a stain. Ruined the longevity of the game for casuals who wont even come back once the game is complete. It sickens me. Now the Invasion aspect of the game is near dead. So these guys come in, change the game how, they want and we have to suffer for it. Catering to a bunch of casuals who are gonna uninstall as soon as they get an ending. Co-Op Mod is a L for this community
How? I compleated the game in solo/offline then i tryed to do with friends, got tired of contstant invasions and disconnect (and yeah the mod has a better netcode than the actual game) so i quit about 2 months ago. Now im back with this mod so it just extended the game for me. And from an innvader point of view nothing has changed. Im still offline for the servers.

Im not just saying ♥♥♥♥ for no reason. Im sitting here playing it not getting invasions. Its been ever since that mod came out. How about you just move on? you arent even reading the thread and just sayin ♥♥♥♥
