Since I see it here and there; No, the coop mod will not and never will get you banned
The single reason?

Does not connect to Fromsoft servers and the saves are stored separate to boot. I mean it takes about a minute to read the mod page to know this. Also anyone with a shred of experience with modding knows that as long as you don't connect to Fromsoft servers aka be offline or stop the games from connecting to the official servers you will never get banned. The mod as a completely different executable and does not use the games normal one.

So for those who are worried about a ban it will never happen. Just be careful if you decide to use other mods other then/along with the coop mod. There are guides for using other mods with the coop one just please read up on doing it properly. As you want to be sure the other mods are not going to load into the normal/base game.

And for those hoping we get banned, as I stated above it-will-never-happen. It is literally impossible to get banned. No, "just you wait", or "they will" or whatever else you could think or say. As I reiterate what I said above, you will think Fromsoft can do something if you have zero idea how modding in Fromsoft games work and have zero idea how the coop mod works.

You speak for the people? I am so sorry sir! If I only knew I would not have been so quick to speak up. What other great knowledge do you have for the entire community you are the voice of?

I think those that want to use that mod should worry more about the bugs, since the bug thread on nexus is the most active elden ring community lol

399 topics on 6 days is alot

I respect modders big time and appreciate what they do! Big kudos to the creators! But it looks as banns should be the last things the users of that mod need to worry about

Half of the "bugs" are user error and constant repeats of the same current bugs. It's not 399 unique bugs.

If you remove all duplicates and all redundant user error ones there are maybe 20 or so bugs.

You've been remarkably upset in the forums, sounds like you're really taking this co-op mod really personally.

Someone might need to make a PSA thread explaining in some greater detail that getting banned by simply using the Seemless Coop Mod just isn't going to happen. FromSoft won't do it because the only means of seeing what an individual is doing with their game is through their own server and EAC; the mod bypasses both. Valve won't do it because VAC has to be integrated in the game... and it's not. Further, neither will do it because of severe blowback by stopping PC gamers from modding. This would be especially egregious for Valve because the original, core team got its start with Team Fortress, a mod for Quake.

Modding is one of the major reasons for gaming on PC. Even if you don't personally mod your games, many others do. Most mods exist to add features, levels, models, skins, music, sound effects, etc. to games. Others exist to fix bugs and broken features. Both types of mods are incredibly useful for extending the life of PC games. If you don't like mods, then go back to console. At least there you don't have to worry as much about how others are playing a game.

Most folks that don't like mods don't use them. Despite that, they seem to be worried about how others play the game they bought and how they use it. Being against a mod that can potentially impact the base game is valid, imo. Making negative IQ, baseless, and / or false statements in an attempt to support their opinion however...

I mean, at some point you have to ask these people why they game on PC. Maybe even take it a step further and ask why they even bother playing video games at all.

Although i only play single player, i 100% understand the mindset of "being against a mod that can impact the player base". I don't however think the mod can take full credit for the player base dropping though.

But yeah like with all internet arguments - the heat is on! :)

The same % of players will be playing, unless the invaders throw a tantrum and stop playing. In fact, so long as the invaders don't leave, player counts will probably rise due to more friends playing together. I know some of my friends that stopped playing are interested in seamless co-op, i'm sure they're not the only ones. So this mindset of "playerbase impact" is kinda nonsensical.

Yes, you misunderstand me. We are just not playing the same game :)

Anyway looks like some fun mods are showing up. I like the item randomizer. Will deff start to fiddle with my game after my first playthrough.
