ELDEN RING

ELDEN RING

Easy anti cheat won't start
EAC don't won't to start which results in Elden Ring not being able to launch in online mode.

EAC does not seem to be able to start through it's own start up file. I just get a small black screen that disappears right away.

EAC seems to have a lot of issues. I recently bought and installed Elden Ring. The game has never been able to launch through EAC. I have all the recommended procedures. Reinstalled game, driver, graphic card check up, Visual drivers CC+, windows updates. Restarts, re installations. I have scanned my PC for viruses. Made exclusions for the EAC in my anti-virus program. I have also looked at the control settings on the graphics card. However, I am 100% sure that it is Easy Anti Cheat that is acting up.

I even took the liberty and bypassed EAC to play the game offline since I don't feel like wasting too much time dealing with something that seems out of my hands. When I bypasses easy anti-cheat, the game started just perfectly. I have played without a single crash or issue for almost 110 hours now.

When I try to start EAC's install setup, that doesn't work either. EAC simply doesn't work at all it seems. As I stated in the error note above. Every time I try to launch the game through EAC, it simply crashes and gives me a different error code every time. I looked up what some of these error codes mean and I even tried to fix some of them. But since it seems to be a different error every time, and not a single particular problem, I gave up on that.
I tried to install the launcher for the EPIC Games and installed Fortnite because I figured that your other games would install EAC as well and perhaps install a version that works but that did not work out as planned either.

I have looked at and read up on a lot of different forums and Reddit posts, and this seems to have been a very common issue following the last months of the game's release. I hope we can solve this.

EAC is like inbuilt malware, because this game wasn't unstable enough as is.

delete the 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS' folder in C:\Program Files (x86)

then Use Registry Editor to delete all keys and values that had 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS' to do this search up "REGEDIT" in search.
right-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Find and look up the term EasyAntiCheat_EOS and delete.

then go into elden ring's game files in the installation folder and navigate to easy anti cheat, and click on the install_easyanticheat_eos_setup

a promt will pop up and hit enter.

uninstall the now corrupted easy anti cheat in your c drive and re install.

if this is not working you must have a background app that interrupt EAC.

If you want to check what background app can cause problems add me to your friendshiplist.

Yeah all these third party programs, launchers that doesn't work etc. I hate them. It was better back in the day when you just bought the game, installed it and played.

finally EAC got fixed back to working state but sadly the GPU is not dx12_0 compatible and has not enough VRAM to prevent crashes.
