I have no way to summon Torrent

Hi there! I'm about 12 hours into the game - I just beat the Beastman of Farum Azula. I kept hearing references to "Torrent" and decided to google it. Apparently it's a spectral steed! And I should be able to summon it! Unfortunately, I don't have the whistle. It's just not in my inventory or equipment. I googled when I'm supposed to get this item, and it's at the same time I'm introduced to leveling my character.

I can level up just fine, and have had multiple conversations and cutscenes with Melina. I accepted her offer to 'be my maiden' when asked. No ring.

This has all the feelings of a bug. I know myself and how I play games real well. If the only answer is "restart" then I probably won't ever play again. Is there a cheat or a mod or a way to edit my save to give myself the Spectral Steed Whistle? Please any help would be appreciated.

One thing you could try to do is install Grand Merchant from NexusMods and try and look of Kalé sells it then.

Otherwise this seems like an absolute bizarre bug, are you absolutely sure the Spectral Steed Whistle isnt in your Inventory?

This is where it its supposed to be. Havent heard of someone not having their whistle ever. Do you remember which 3rd Grace you touched when Melina first appeared?

In that section, I have the 2 colored flasks and the grace icon. I don't have the skinny flask or the ring/whistle.

If you have access to the the roundhold, you can buy torrents whistle and the summoning bell for spirits from the twin maidens.

Thank you - I'll try this soon. I have tediously, painstakingly read every item description and icon in my Inventory, all the inventory tabs, pouches and equipment.

Not sure it is a good idea unless you are playing offline all time , cause if you appear in online with an item that is not "Legit" , you will be flag as cheater and risk a ban (after warning probably)

Verify your Files (probably twice) (Yeah , i know , boring solution but it works for a bunch of things)

Restart a character , gettting Torrent is about 5 minutes max , see how it goes , if you get Torrent , choose :

-to stay with that char.
-delete the previous one.
-stay that way.

After that, go back to the Grace at Kale and speak to Ranni. Make sure it's night at Kalle's church.

I've personally confirmed you can trigger Melina anywhere (at least anywhere in Limgrave). You only need to REST at any 3 overworld graces.

Think he just means that he could technically restart. 12 Hours hurt, yes, but playing this Game without Torrent.

Not sure if its even possible, are there any mandatory spirit jump pads?
