Millicent's quest-line ending
So the end of her quest-line didn't surprise me in the fact that she dies, that's pretty standard Fromsoft, if a bit too predictable and stale for veteran Soulsborne players, but the way the quest-line ended just felt half baked to me.
I followed it all the way to 'I have to tell Malenia something.'
Then 2 minutes later I help her fight her 4 sisters who just are suddenly a thing and aggressive because reasons. Then it's just 'Okay, I choose to die now.' Like really? You kind of just told me 3 minutes ago that you have this specific mission that you can accomplish in like 5 more minu-
'Nope, gotta die now, because I choose it, wasn't even injured in the fight, I just need to die now.'
What your saying literally makes zero sense. Right now.
'I choose... to pass on now... blegh.'
... What? Did I miss something? It feels like there's a kind of important step missing, or they just rushed the ending. Gowry's input before and after the fight didn't really clear up much for me either.

Theres actually a bunch of dialogue from Gowry when doing each of the steps for Millicent.

Which is easy to miss since its optional.

For context, her sisters, were "Failed" attempts at creating what i think was meant to be a new "Malenia", with Millicent being the only potential success, and he was actually the one that send off the sisters after her, and will in fact try to convince you to kill her yourself, since the shock from betrayal would be the "Final" step.

In short, hes a piece of garbage.

Regarding her end, Millicent took off the needle since she realized it was turning her into something she wasnt (the whole thing i mentioned above) and she would rather die being herself, which sadly included allowing the rot to consume her since the needle was keeping it at bay, i guess the fight with her sisters was the final push and she couldnt continue anymore.

Ah okay, not really sure how Millicent found that out, but she isn't a companion that travels with you, so I can accept that on her own journey she pieced things together, similar to how the player can piece things together about the world and their role in it.

She was dying of rot, you gave her the needle, she got better. It's not quite an Agatha Christie novel.

I was referring to the aspect of her becoming a new Malenia. Of course she knows the needle is keeping the rot at bay, you told her as much yourself. Clearly she didn't stick a needle into herself because she thought it would be fun.

That's likely due to Gowry's grooming. You get called a "beautiful flower" often enough, it'll probably ring some bells.

It was just really annoying. You go through all that hell to get the needle for her and the mechanical arm and all you get is 'thanks, Ima die now'. She's the only NPC in the whole game I actually cared about. Fromsoft. I should have known better.
