The lack of armor that shows you're character
I've noticed that Elden Ring has a lack of armor that doesn't look like a tin box. I've put so much effort in the character creation, but I can't see my character. It's rather frustrating that their are only three or four sets where you can see yourself. The problem is that those sets are lacking in all the departments. I like the look of the champion set, but their isn't a good successor for me. I hope we can get some armor were we can see our character that most of us created with a lot of effort.

Looking at old skulls, ppl generally had better teeth than today :) Cleanliness was also important. It all went downhill after 1500... (some generalization, don't jump in my face :))

FS has actually deserved praise for example for depicting knight's armor for females without weird metal boobies. Remember meeting Anri in DS3? You only know she is a woman when she starts to speak.

Domed shapes designed to accommodate women's breasts are not only realistic, but wholly practical as well

Hard steel is hard steel. If a Sword doesn't pierce hard steel, it doesn't pierce hard steel. The reason that From Software doesn't specifically design female armor to be more form-fitting (despite it being entirely realistic to do so), is because From Soft wants to do the most with the least. So the easier option, that no one will ever care about, is to make armor sized down slightly to look more natural when worn by female character models.

That depends highly on the political twist and liberty when interpreting the fragments of "evidence".

I'm French, so, i will take Jeanne d'Arc as an example of female warrior
Female also got the right to do crusade since it was the duty of any christian people a this time, and some leaders of the locals thought that christians were degenerate and coward for letting women fight
In French, we have 3 terms that i will translate to you
1. Chevalier = Knight
2. Chevalière = The wife of a knight
3. Chevalresse = A woman knight

No, I am making fun of the discussion. Maybe you should read a little of the discussion you're jumping into. Reduces the risk of looking stupid.

Maybe if you played some more you'll find more armor sets. There's a lot of cloth in the game. Also, you may have missed this, but if you find a certain Needle for a certain Demi-Human, you can even switch between different versions of an armor.

unless you just wanna stare at your custom waifu's ass all day, then just git gud and never get hit, won't need armor that way.

OMG we have reached Shadiversity level. Allow me to troll a little: There's a "nice" video about Elden Ring from this guy. Apart from that - some comments under that linked video offer better takes on the topic.

Let me help you a bit, https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/inspiration

I'll even throw you a bone, https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/creativity

Don't waste my time with poor arguments and at least make an effort to answer what I asked, instead of putting words in my mount.

Shad only use one example of female armor for the video.... he should have given more examples (i'm not a Fan of Shad, i prefere Metatron)
i think that "Man armor" on Woman vs "Woman Armor" is a pretty useless fight since Women can wear Men armors with no problems, and making Armor for Women in a medieval fatasy game where men and women are equal in the right of fighting is fine too

So... You're not going to address what Shad actually said, in that hard steel is hard steel and it doesn't matter what shape it is, if it doesn't go through then it doesn't go through, and instead rely on people in the comment's section because they agree with you?

Regardless of his takes on Elden Ring (and I couldn't care less about his takes on Elden Ring, I know how I feel about it), you cannot deny that he has a point about medieval breast armor - that it's hard steel. And if it's hard steel, a sword isn't going to go through hard steel, as well as the fact that aiming for the chest is not a good idea.

You can dislike it as personal preference, sure, but there's no "realism" argument to level against medieval female breast armor. It existed and it worked just as well as regular plate.

so, i was unfair. there is good amount of acceptable and even quite good sets. but i still agree with author of topic - there could be some skimpy sets.

No love for the Briar set except me?

Missing the point that sacrificing artistic liberty for muh "realism" is dumb. Women weren't exactly known for donning full plate and killing men on the battlefield so critiquing how realistic their armor is makes no sense in the first place.

Joan of Arc would like a word with you.

Joan of Arc
Yeah I knew she'd get brought up as soon as I mentioned anything of the sort, because people can name literally no other woman in history who did something like that. Didn't say no female knight has ever existed, I was getting at how a single name comes to mind out of the millions upon millions of women to have lived during that time period.
