Is Valiant Gargoyle duo beatable?
Because I am level 110 and getting absolutely roflstomped in Radahn's gear, Eclipse Crest Greatshield, and +14 on the axe. I have a few summons, Kaidan sellsword and Latenna. Some vids I see hide on the rocks under waterfall, the AI ignores them almost entirely, they simply bow / black flame it to death, no problems. I do the same thing and the AI is very aggressive, pursues non-stop, the low sweeping attacks throw me off the rock above their head even with Barricade + Greatshield + 42 END + Viridian +1 talisman. They can't even dent Stamina with Barricade active and I'm still ragdolled.
So I try fighting like a normal human, dodge and block, and it literally does not matter because as soon as Twinblade drops down my camera is forfeit while I get tag-teamed by a pair of giant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I can't block and dodge simultaneously while also doing some form of damage.

I've killed three demigods pretty easy and I have not even scratched the twinblade gargoyle yet. Am I missing something obvious or are these some kind of troll?

it took really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long, but i found it easier to just run away from the aggressive one and just attack the one spewing poison until one died
Yes, I'm level 125 in NG5. I used Greatsword and Lion's Claw when beat them. It's just being patience, really. I only went aggressive after I killed one of them. Also, I have 55 VIG. I'm more annoyed by their poison breath other than anyhting
I Used the big rock in the center back of the arena, and kite them so you only have to deal with one at a time (or even just to get away from poison AoE) If you're having trouble use a strength weapon buffed with magic, as they are least resistant to these two damage types.
Run away, come back later or skip the fight and get to Deeproot the other way through the Subterranean Shunning Grounds in Leyndel. You can look on the wiki if you want to know exactly where it is.

You should have at least 40 vig. Also, soreseals make this boss much much harder so don't use them
I finished the game with 30 vigor and still have 30 vigor. You don't need 40 vigor or 50 or 60 or whatever other number people claim.
The difference between 30 and 40 vigor is 45% more hp for only 10 levels. 40 is the first softcap for vigor, granting you 1450 base hp and is sufficient for all pve content right now. 60 is the second soft cap and gives you 1900 hp.

Those 10 levels are a massive boon from your current state.

Oh I did not know it was that substantial, hello.
Try crystal darts or bewitching branches on one of them

Yeah, it is a little counter intuitive, but as you approach 40, each level of vigor actually gives more hp, then it drops down again.
