Seamless CO-OP Question

How can I play using my save file without restarting using this mod?

Edit : Quoting someone from discord server. You need to get the cheat engine table from the discord server to do this : "I was playing around and figured it out just now. Start up game, open CheatEngine, File > Open Process, select the game process. Then File > Load > select the Cheat Table (CT file), then it appears below, right click, toggle, and under ItemGib, there's a checkbox that says "Give all mod items", select that and it should just do it."

Rename the file extension from ".sl2" to ".co2"
Use Cheat Engine to drop the mod-specific items for your character in-game.

I particularly don't understand the last bit. How do we use cheat engine to achieve that? Never modded before. Any guidance?

Sorry, no idea. Unless something else can chime in, you could try checking out the Cheat Engine website forums, Reddit, or NexusMods for help.

First you install the tool, the 7.4 version to be exact.
Then you download hexinton table on the nexus mod website.
On the discord of seamless they give the id of the new items in the faq section,all you have to do it open the table from hexinton while running the game with the mod (create a shortcut to your desktop it's easier).
Then you check boxes to activate a functionality, so load your character, alt tab, check the megatable box, then item, gib item (you may need to join their discord server). It prompt a window with 5 or 6 boxes like weapon talisman etc
Select magic/good as the category, and in the id# boxe, paste the listing of the new item (one by one sadly) . And fill the box gib item. Open your game, you should see the msg of a key item being given.

How do you exit from a co-op session?

when you have the mod when you cerate a new char it comes with a new items, so if you pass a already created char to the mod you'll need to use "cheats" to insert the mod items in your char as you can't obtain them.

it may be easy but i'm too lazy to do that so I'm just creating an entire new char

I know the mod uses different save files but do you have to start a new char or can you progress with your current save file?

Also if you have to put a co-op pswd in the .ini file, does this mean random players cannot join more than one co-op session?

you just have to make a copy of your save, and rename it, so it's not that hard, but you then need to install CE and give yourself the new items (i expect some tutorial on youtube fairly soon for this, took me 30 min last night). Be aware that once your character own these items, no turning back, you cannot take that save back to regular servers.
and yes it's on password only, so you need to change it if you plan to play with another person.

What's CE, and if you have backed up the original save file, can't take equipments back? Can't you replace the original save file, and resume play on ER server?

You cannot discard the new items. So if you place that save back on the official server you're more than likely to get banned.

CE is an hex editor mostly used to cheat in games. If can spawn item, which is what we need to do here. Or you can just do another character.

anyone know how to transfer Seamless Co-op save data to a new PC? and how to tell the differences the save data exactly because i have alot of saves from my OG saves and seamless

Look at the extensions of the save file. Vanilla saves end in ".sl2" while the SC mod saves are something else (can't recall atm).
