Seamless Co-Op Mod (Experimental Version 2.0)
Download Seamless Co-Op Mod from:
Nexusmods[www.nexusmods.com]

File size: 1.5MB
Unique account downloads in 1 year 901K
Seamless Co-Op Discord LFG channel.[discord.com]
This is currently an experimental build so expect a few bugs.
(ver. 2.0)
What's new in ver. 2.0: (Updated on 5/23 @ 4PM ET) - Increased the player count to support 127 players (note this has only been tested up to 15) - Added PvP, PvE, and boss rush modes. You can access these with the shrines at rountable hold and the Limgrave and Caelid areanas - Fixed some inconsistencies with packet order - Modified the way clients initially connect with each other - Removed the Varré quest line skip - Added visual effects to rot - Changed some mod icons If you'd like to use this experimental version, then you must replace **ALL** mod files *including the launcher*. A clean install of seamless co-op is strongly recommended.
Not compatible with mods; The seamless co-op launcher is required for functionality. Wait for stable release if you require usage of other mods.

Info about the mod:
- Mod which removes all multiplayer boundaries and allows for connections to persist after death.

- Play with friends from the tutorial to the very end of the game, with synchronized progress, and no re-summoning or interruptions.

- Enemy scaling is fixed (it didn't work at all previously). It now mimics Elden Ring's (25%/50%/75%) buff on enemies for 1, 2, and 3 co-operators respectively.

- Voting enables synchronized fast travelling in the game. All players in the session must agree to warp to a specific destination. Once the vote passes, all players are warped at the same time.

- Map waypoints are now synced with other players in the session, making it easier to communicate where you'd like to explore or areas of interest.

- Evergaols, portals, etc. now all work correctly and affect other players in the session allowing you to tackle usually restricted areas in multiplayer.

- When dying in a boss fight, you will be unable to re-spawn and enter a spectator mode until either the boss is dead or every other player dies. This lets bosses keep their challenge while allowing you to stay together in a multiplayer session.

- A stack-able debuff mechanic called Rot Essence has been added. It is acquired on death and can be removed when resting at a bonfire. There are currently 3 varied effects that can stack both with others and themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's):

Q) Can the mod get me banned?
A) No, the mod doesn't connect to the matchmaking servers and does not use FromSoftware's online services and therefore you can't get banned for using it.

Q) What is the player cap?
A) The maximum player count in a party is 127 (1 host + 126 guest players). Only tested up to 15 player simultaneously in ver 2.0.

Q) Are there invasions?
A) No, there are no invasions.

Q) How do items work?
A) Items are unique to every player. If boss drops a talisman pouch for example, everyone will get it. The same applies to items found in the world and enemy drops.

Q) How do sites of grace/bonfires work?
A) If one player sits at a site of grace anywhere in the world an enemy/world reset will occur for every player. If a player is fighting a non-open world boss at this time, they will be placed back outside the fog wall and the fight will be reset.

Q) Is progress shared?
A) Yes progress is shared. But it only applies to actions you do whilst in a player's world - for example if you start a fresh character and join a player to kill an end-game boss, only that boss will be dead in your world and you won't inherit all of the other player's progress they had before you joined.

Q) How does it work with the anti-cheat?
A) It doesn't, the mod uses a separate launcher which runs the game without launching Easy Anti-Cheat.

Q) Can I use other mods?
A) Yes, however for regulation / param file edits everyone in the party must have them active in order for them to be visible. (e.g. if just 1 player uses a randomizer, it will only work for that player). Also, not in experimental build 2.0

Q) Does this worked for cracked/pirated games?
A) No.

Q) Isn't this just easy mode?
A) Not necessarily, while co-op play does make the game objectively easier, it's also a completely different way to play the game. There are plenty of "easy mode" mods out that that just give you high health/damage. This mod will be easier but is made in mind of those who want to play the game the whole way through with friends. It has been designed with fun in mind as opposed to reducing the challenge.

Q) Can I modify or redistribute this mod?
A) No.

Q) Can I use my save game from the base game?
A) Yes[/b]

All other info can be found on the Mod Description Page[www.nexusmods.com]

Installation:
Compatibility with other mods has not been tested. You may use other mods, so long as they do not interfere with the multiplayer aspect of the game, or edit any of the items the mod uses to function.

• Download the mod from the 'Download'[www.nexusmods.com] tab.
• Extract the package you downloaded, and move the following files to your Elden Ring folder (usually in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ELDENRING\Game").
• Edit "cooppassword.ini" to your chosen co-op password.
• Launch the mod using "launch_elden_ring_seamless_coop.exe".

A new save game is recommended (but not necessary)
As a precaution, please backup your original game saves located at %AppData%\Eldenring.

Usage:
Fang eredeti hozzászólása:
Set the coop password in SeamlessCoop\cooppassword.ini
The host must use the Tiny Great Pot to create a session.
At that point, the other players can join using the Effigy of Melina.
You should spawn in at a point nearby the host. Any player can leave at any time using the Separating Mist
- If the host uses this item, the session will be disbanded and all players will disconnect.

It's own content, not the developers one, thus not the intended vision, thus if you used them you should be banned from the devs games.

...thats certainly a take. One which would cause everyone to abandon a studio in droves because modding communities are a huge part of PC games. Imagine if Bethesda said that "hey this game you paid for, you don't get to play it anymore because you like mods"

Yeah I can't imagine that would go over well. Poor skyrim wouldn't get another port.

OR.

Hear me out.

You paid for the game, and you can play it however the ♥♥♥♥ you like as long as you aren't ruining another player's experience?

How bout that?

If you are telling me, i think this would be that "preaching to the choir" thing? I was just using the logic of people who complains about the mod.

It's own content, not the developers one, thus not the intended vision, thus if you used them you should be banned from the devs games.

There isnt a single intended vision from the devs that actually is made. Its a bunch of people all working together with different perspectives. You are just mad that there arent enough noobs for you to gank. Also Karen demanding people be banned? really? do you wanna talk to the manager of Fromsoft?

This is not only irrelevant (the commonality is that all the listed mods alter the intended experience of the game, not that they do or do not use "new" content), but incorrect: Seamless introduces coop horse riding and has a suite of minor alterations (ex: no area locking fogwalls in multi). It's not just the standard game with no invaders.

probably should have put a /s on the end my dude. Sarcasm doesn't translate well on the internet without inflections of tone.
Yard-Dog® eredeti hozzászólása:
So to use this mod, would it require starting a brand new game? Or, can I carry over my save from my current playthrough of Elden Ring?

There is actually a discussion about this within the mods official page, however it is recommended to backup your save, before putting into seamless coop, they use a different file extension to separate seamless, and vanilla easily.

Also it IS bannable to transfer from seamless to vanilla, as TECHNICALLY it IS cheating (ToS stuff ig)

A few bans, a pfp change and a year and a month later since this forum opened and my dragon friend is still singing the same song. Gotta give it to you sir, you are nothing if not consistent :s_xd:
The most ironic part about it.
"Q) Can I modify or redistribute this mod?
A) No, sorry. Please do not modify, repackage, or redistribute this mod anywhere without my permission."
Yes you can modify it, and share it privately. The same as everyone is doing with the game lel, albeit publicly. Otherwise there would be no modding publicly.

I bet that if we look at this person's profile, we're sure to see a similar outcry against mods in general for changing and disrespecting the intended experience. They must hate Cinders and DoA and the randomizers just as much; after all, vision-based arguments have never been used by invaders as a vehicle to justify anti-cooper sentiment. Never. Absolutely never.

Programatically, the coop mod took 10x more work to complete than the randomizer.
It's also much, much harder to work with networking, because networking is a b*tch!

Sorry for being a non-reader... I only have one question: can I join a user of this mod without having to install it on my ER and play with them without getting invaded?

Both players need to have it installed because the mod doesn't use FromSoftware's servers at all. It connects through Steam instead. Mod is also using separate save, so most likely both of you will have to start from the beginning.

Hey, thanks!

Any idea if it flags the username/account? So if I archive my current save and start a new one to play with the mod, I can later delete the modded save and go back to the original to carry on? Or if I have two computers with the same account, one with the mod and the other without, each with their separate saves, I can go safely (not gonna play at the same time on both computers)?

none of that is even necessary. The mod uses a different file extension on the mod save files than regular saves, keeping the two completely separate. You use the mod launcher to play Seamless and the regular launcher to play vanilla. It is possible to port a vanilla save to the mod by making a copy and changing the file extension to the one the mod uses, but you can't port from modded to vanilla without consequence.
