Seamless Co-Op Mod (Experimental Version 2.0)
Download Seamless Co-Op Mod from:
Nexusmods[www.nexusmods.com]

File size: 1.5MB
Unique account downloads in 1 year 901K
Seamless Co-Op Discord LFG channel.[discord.com]
This is currently an experimental build so expect a few bugs.
(ver. 2.0)
What's new in ver. 2.0: (Updated on 5/23 @ 4PM ET) - Increased the player count to support 127 players (note this has only been tested up to 15) - Added PvP, PvE, and boss rush modes. You can access these with the shrines at rountable hold and the Limgrave and Caelid areanas - Fixed some inconsistencies with packet order - Modified the way clients initially connect with each other - Removed the Varré quest line skip - Added visual effects to rot - Changed some mod icons If you'd like to use this experimental version, then you must replace **ALL** mod files *including the launcher*. A clean install of seamless co-op is strongly recommended.
Not compatible with mods; The seamless co-op launcher is required for functionality. Wait for stable release if you require usage of other mods.

Info about the mod:
- Mod which removes all multiplayer boundaries and allows for connections to persist after death.

- Play with friends from the tutorial to the very end of the game, with synchronized progress, and no re-summoning or interruptions.

- Enemy scaling is fixed (it didn't work at all previously). It now mimics Elden Ring's (25%/50%/75%) buff on enemies for 1, 2, and 3 co-operators respectively.

- Voting enables synchronized fast travelling in the game. All players in the session must agree to warp to a specific destination. Once the vote passes, all players are warped at the same time.

- Map waypoints are now synced with other players in the session, making it easier to communicate where you'd like to explore or areas of interest.

- Evergaols, portals, etc. now all work correctly and affect other players in the session allowing you to tackle usually restricted areas in multiplayer.

- When dying in a boss fight, you will be unable to re-spawn and enter a spectator mode until either the boss is dead or every other player dies. This lets bosses keep their challenge while allowing you to stay together in a multiplayer session.

- A stack-able debuff mechanic called Rot Essence has been added. It is acquired on death and can be removed when resting at a bonfire. There are currently 3 varied effects that can stack both with others and themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's):

Q) Can the mod get me banned?
A) No, the mod doesn't connect to the matchmaking servers and does not use FromSoftware's online services and therefore you can't get banned for using it.

Q) What is the player cap?
A) The maximum player count in a party is 127 (1 host + 126 guest players). Only tested up to 15 player simultaneously in ver 2.0.

Q) Are there invasions?
A) No, there are no invasions.

Q) How do items work?
A) Items are unique to every player. If boss drops a talisman pouch for example, everyone will get it. The same applies to items found in the world and enemy drops.

Q) How do sites of grace/bonfires work?
A) If one player sits at a site of grace anywhere in the world an enemy/world reset will occur for every player. If a player is fighting a non-open world boss at this time, they will be placed back outside the fog wall and the fight will be reset.

Q) Is progress shared?
A) Yes progress is shared. But it only applies to actions you do whilst in a player's world - for example if you start a fresh character and join a player to kill an end-game boss, only that boss will be dead in your world and you won't inherit all of the other player's progress they had before you joined.

Q) How does it work with the anti-cheat?
A) It doesn't, the mod uses a separate launcher which runs the game without launching Easy Anti-Cheat.

Q) Can I use other mods?
A) Yes, however for regulation / param file edits everyone in the party must have them active in order for them to be visible. (e.g. if just 1 player uses a randomizer, it will only work for that player). Also, not in experimental build 2.0

Q) Does this worked for cracked/pirated games?
A) No.

Q) Isn't this just easy mode?
A) Not necessarily, while co-op play does make the game objectively easier, it's also a completely different way to play the game. There are plenty of "easy mode" mods out that that just give you high health/damage. This mod will be easier but is made in mind of those who want to play the game the whole way through with friends. It has been designed with fun in mind as opposed to reducing the challenge.

Q) Can I modify or redistribute this mod?
A) No.

Q) Can I use my save game from the base game?
A) Yes[/b]

All other info can be found on the Mod Description Page[www.nexusmods.com]

Installation:
Compatibility with other mods has not been tested. You may use other mods, so long as they do not interfere with the multiplayer aspect of the game, or edit any of the items the mod uses to function.

• Download the mod from the 'Download'[www.nexusmods.com] tab.
• Extract the package you downloaded, and move the following files to your Elden Ring folder (usually in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ELDENRING\Game").
• Edit "cooppassword.ini" to your chosen co-op password.
• Launch the mod using "launch_elden_ring_seamless_coop.exe".

A new save game is recommended (but not necessary)
As a precaution, please backup your original game saves located at %AppData%\Eldenring.

Usage:
Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Fang:
Set the coop password in SeamlessCoop\cooppassword.ini
The host must use the Tiny Great Pot to create a session.
At that point, the other players can join using the Effigy of Melina.
You should spawn in at a point nearby the host. Any player can leave at any time using the Separating Mist
- If the host uses this item, the session will be disbanded and all players will disconnect.

It makes 0 sense to me, at all, why people care how other people play games. You do you, and ill do me.
The problem is that those people who love invasions NEED "Victims" to invade to. If they lose those "Victims", they can't do invasions anymore.
And the only way for them to invade their "Victims" is for them to play online coop together (or, rarely, use a special item to get invaded even when playing alone).

So a mod that makes it so that their "Victims" can't be invaded anymore is of course a threat to invaders, which is why they're so up in arms and against this kind of mod.

Not that I care about any of that. I absolutely hate invasions and am glad that there is now a way to play coop without getting invaded. Never liked that mechanic, never will.

Wrong, actually. german court has decided that video games here are products, not services. I completely own the product I paid for.

If that's true then I dare you to try selling ER as your own game. You own it, it's your property after all, right? Try selling it with the mod attached, I'm sure everything will go over smoothly.

Bottom line, no. Idc what country you're in, you don't own the works of other people just because you bought something from them.
Who said anything about stealing games to sell as your own? You can sell your Steam account though along with its games. Whether that's against Steam ToS or not hardly matters because people still do it and will continue to do so.

If they wanted to they can simply remove the game from your account anytime they want.
No, they actually couldn't. At least in my country, that would be illegal for them to do.

Not how that works.

It's their property and they can take your access if they want.

Meaning you're missing a big point in your argument.
My point was these studios don't care what we want, they either make games for demand or as a personal or group project. If you think they changed some of their DS formula in ER to cater to everyone because they care for fans and not wanting to reach more sales than you are sorely mistaken.

hmmm.
If so many people want invasions gone since demons souls, why are they still there then?

I own the product, not the trademark nor the copyright. Please be stupid somewhere else. If you don't know anything about laws, don't talk about laws.

We own our Copy of ER. Not all of ER.
And yes, selling your own copy of a game is something that many people have been doing and are still doing.

If people have a physical copy of ER, they are absolutely entiteld to just resell it to others.

Exactly. Hopefully From will finaly take action against that mod.

Don't worry, From will take action the moment another moder publishes their code that allows this mod to be used on Pirated versions of the game.

Honestly, I don't care though.
Me and my friends will maybe use this mod at some point if we feel like it.

Just stating that this mod can and without a doubt will be used by people with Pirated versions of the game.
There's only 1 company I know who gives that much ♥♥♥♥ when it comes to piracy and mods and that's Nintendo so I highly doubt FS will become like them because no one likes Nintendo when they take down fan projects and such.

Wrong actually.

You payed for a license to play the game From owns.

If they wanted to they can simply remove the game from your account anytime they want.
Wrong, actually. german court has decided that video games here are products, not services. I completely own the product I paid for. Removing the game from my library is illegal.

Not my problem your country doesn't have consumer rights.

Nope.

Games are owned by their maker and are services provided to the customers.

And the makers have rights that allow them to remove access at any point for any means.

Not a single law or government can change that.

Maybe not, the mod relies on Steam's p2p functionality. I doubt Steam would allow you to access their service with an unlicensed product.

If so many people want invasions gone since demons souls, why are they still there then?
Because the devs are lazy and it's easier to copy code sloppily than to improve or evolve the formulas. Money does this to people and companies aren't immune to it.

how i want to play the game or how you want to play the game is irrelevant.

how do the devs want you to play the game? play it that way. end of story. fromsoft does not support the use of ANY mods or third party utilities, even clientside graphical mods.
I could not care less how some company wants me to run software that I OWN on MY machine THAT I OWN. I never used their trash EAC malware in the first place anyway. I absolutely will do what I want with MY SOFTWARE on MY MACHINE. Don't like it? Switch to console.

You don't own the game, you own the copy of the game.
What you can do with it is written in the agreement you clicked yes to.
And they, in fact, can do stuff if you break it in some impacting way.
Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Delta:

And you are absolutely wrong about all of that.
They own the IP "Elden Ring" and the sourcecode and such. But I own the copy of ER that I play on my machine and they are not entitled to take that away from me.
You don't seem to understand how reality works... maybe you should educate yourself regarding the subject matter before you continue talking nonsense.

That isnt how that works at all.

If you buy the game in germany, you own THAT COPY of the game, not the copyright for the entire franchise, this should be be an obvious difference to anyone.

you arent renting the copy you bought, it isnt a service that the game company can cancel, its yours to do play how you want, modify how you want etc as long as you remain within the tenants of copyright/intelluctual property laws, none of which disallow making modifications to software.
