Aside from that - there truely are only 4 with one being a boss weapon from Placidusex's soul, "Dragon King's Cragblade"; albeit I enjoy the art quite a bit (you turn into a fugging storm cloud and charge forward through folks).
So I would say - Stitcher main hand (I had mine tuned with the ice mist or fire slash usually), and either Cragblade off-hand as a possible escape mechanism, or Great Epee (if using fire on main-hand, then ice so I can re-proc, else if main-hand is ice, then this was Gravitus or whatever it's called to pull folks into my stabbers).
Yeah I was wondering about what the best thing was to put on the stitcher, right now I have the lightning attack because if I get in trouble I can just spam the hell out of it. For quite awhile I was using the great epee with flame strike that served me quite well.
I will tell you though, the bloody helice isn't a bad weapon. I have it at +9 currently and it does 278+161 damage. I just wish you could put whatever ash of war you wanted on it but its not too bad.
Did think about checking it out at one point (got a second one in run 2 and was thinking of going dual helice as I do enjoy the design). Though this is where Nioh takes the lead for me - I want to reskin the Great Epee with the Helice, and also keep the ability to add whatever onto it lol.
Although it being bleed was also something I sorta steered clear from - I don't play online too too much, but when I do I want to also bring the farthest thing from the meta with me lol. Like DS3 I was all about Demon Fists + the invisible rolls + the Pontif Left or Right Eye (dmg one) and then just roll around and tap people with the multi-hit/spammable L1s xD
Also almost forgot about Lightning Strike, that art was neat.
Yeah I've been wanting to try something new but I've made it up to level 88 just using thrusting weapons. The only other thing I have any experience with in this game is the katana i started with, not really sure where to go. I have enough larvas I can respec a few times over,
Great Epee and Godskin Stitcher are equally versatile due to having an unlocked Ash of War, but they have different scalings. I believe Great Epee is better for STR and Godskin Stitcher for DEX.
Don't underestimate Bloody Helice though. Finesse has a ton of iframes, about as much as Bloodhound's Step. It's also got natural bleed as an early advantage, but once you get the right whetblade you can just stick bleed affinity on the other swords.
Some notes about using heavy thrusting swords.
If you charge the R2, you can cancel the attack into a quick horizontal cut with a backstep by pressing the roll button. It's called a "feint" but it's just the standard rapier kick from Dark Souls.
The running R2 has a ton of range due to your character performing a small hop before the lunge.
The Estoc is an honourary heavy thrusting sword. It has slightly more range due to the player character movement while poking, and is both lighter and faster. It's also a bit more versatile since the horizontal sweep is immediately accessible through R2, rather than as the last hit of the R1 combo. However, it deals noticeably less damage.
