So taking a quick look at the wiki using the example weapon - it would indeed do all 3 types via normal attacks (phys/fire/magic).
Generaly yes but this specific weapon does not burn enemies weak to fire like other fire weapons do. Big miranda flowers and crazy hands enemies normaly burn if hit by a fire weapon but not with Sword of Night and Flame. You need to do weapon art to burn enemies. Not sure if fire damage is calculated properly for this weapon and if it does extra damage against enemies weak to fire.
Also this weapon was heavily nerfed at some point. Too much in my opinion.
Yeah, that's why I was asking because when striking it looks like little clouds of blue and red spark off the weapon/target which kinda suggests both magic/fire damage is being applied, but maybe that's purely cosmetic. I use the fire WA on it to kill the unaware lesser wormfaces easily lol, in spite of its nerfs it still has contextual uses haha
I used to use Ancient Dragon's Lightning because it works wonders but it's too unreliable on them with it's mana cost, and is more suitable for very large enemies like the Black Blade Kindred or Magma Wyrms, so I started to rely on the sword WA and my giantsflame pyromancy to finish them when the sword doesn't for those guys.
