I wish I could unbind "Crouch" completely.

Worthless function that only gets me killed when I accidentally crouch.

During intense moments, when the last thing I would ever want to do is crouch, is the only time I ever crouch in this game. So I went to unbind it, but the game doesn't let me. It has to be bound to something. I'm like okay, just switch crouch for opening the map, since I can't accidentally do that in combat. Oh too bad, that specific button cannot be rebound for reasons.

I SEE YOU! Ok fine....next time i will just use qwerty, no mouse, no summons, no bleed, rot, naked, with ELden Ring uninstalled and the computer off. I will record it , promise. Can i use a level 1 jellyfish?

I'm using a controller. The issue I have is that custom binds on a controller are less flexible than on M&K for literally no reason.

Do you understand? Or are you going out of your way to act stupid? I don't get it.

You might be able to unbind crouch via Steam controller configuration. It should not be hard to disable the function of a L3.

I used to accidentally click in the left stick and crouch unintentionally, but you eventually get used to it.

Knowing fromsoft there's a higher chance that they'll give crouch i-frames than allowing players to fully customize their controls.

I have like 800 hours in this game. It only happens like once every 80 hours or something like that. But when it happens, and gets me killed, it's usually during the most intense ♥♥♥♥ possible, like during the last 5% of NG7 Malenia, or RL1 Hora Loux. If you ever manage to play on my level, maybe you'd understand.

It's weird how some people seem to immediately white knight for this game, even when I'm asking for basic things like 100% customizable controls, instead of only delivering like 85%, with arbitrary restrictions.

The reason I want to customize my controls the way I do is essentially irrelevant to the actual complaint being made. Perhaps if I hadn't included as much detail in my personal experience for noticing some buttons cannot be rebound, people wouldn't have found something to nitpick about my gripe, and would have simply agreed that there's no reason for this limitation; that not every controller button is configurable, when they should be.

The amount of times I've accidentally dismounted or was stuck in crouch while running (why doesn't sprint make you stand up??) and I don't have an option at all to change the dismount bind really soured my feelings for the controls.

I don't know if it's just the Razer controller being too sensitive or I have extremely powerful thumbs, but I was getting dismounted/crouching all the time. Not even when panicking, I just want to turn and look at something and all of sudden I'm dismounting.

I changed the binding to use the space key on the keyboard. It's a little awkward for jump-attacks off Torrent, but otherwise it's a massive improvement. Mounted combat is amazingly fun now.
