You talking about Earthbore Cave in Weeping Peninsula?
True that Runebear has some decent bleed resistances. I usually try to go slash and fire.
And what class are you?
I skip some runebears when open-world. But indoors, we fighting.
The one in the cave , Is made to be extra beefy , U see the bushes all over the place? U can crouch in them he wont see u , Then grab shiny and u can fully ignore the one im talking about.
Oh, another game designer ^^
Git gud.
I try to not be a git gud guy. But I do think git gud applies in this case. This is just a skill/familiarity issue.
If it's the runebear I'm thinking of, I've done it at normal levels on 8 different characters with no spirits and no issues that I remember. And I used varied strategies across my characters just for fun. The Prophet using Catch Flame was probably the best attempt.
I think once the OP gets better at the game, a runebear in a small cave will not create such a negative experience.
It takes forever to kill them, they're very likely to kill you in the process, and they don't even drop anything remotely good enough to justify their insane difficulty level.
@Lenox - this is why I responded in the way that I did *shrug*
@Syro System - my melee dude with the big sword had fun staggering and killing runebears. My caster avoided them.

This guy got killed by a flower and got the most infamous thread of the forums.
We attempted to give him advice but just started to insult everyone.
By all means, try to kill the bear. You dont know how funny the bloodstains are.
