On that note, the most recent time I fought him, I destroyed him in his second phase in just over 5 seconds dual wielding Banished Knight Greatswords on a strength build. He was acting like he was on downers so I wailed on him, broke his poise, and wailed on him some more until he died. Every other time he was doing the usual jumping around BS.
I've tried both Mimic and Tiche and he knocked 'em both off multiple times, all in a row :/
(Tiche surprised me especially because she's so evasive and leaps around just like Maliketh does). NG+7 is the first time this has ever happened, I didn't even know he could knock your spirits off like that til now.
On a side note I'm using twin scav curved swords, one w/seppuku and bleed, the other with frost. In the past I've always been able to take care of him easily with my Mimic using a Godskin Peeler w/seppuku, but it ain't cutting it this time around. I started using my Scavs because the attack speed, and blood/frostbite buildup is much faster. Only reason I use the mimic is to try and stack the buildups I'm trying to proc pretty much.
Is he particularly weak to anything I may not be aware of? He's always seemed weak to bleed to me, but I've read he actually has a moderate resistance to bleed, but that doesn't seem right to me lol...
1. Immediately summon.
2. Run forward towards Maliketh.
3. Dodge his attacks the best you can while moving the fight towards the center of the arena.
4. When mimic fully forms and joins the fight, heal and buff while he's distracted.
5. Join the fight.
I should also note that maybe it's just been my experience, but Maliketh seems a bit easier solo, especially in phase 2. With a summon joining the fight, he seems to jump around a lot more.
* lmao levels of HP
* offensive movement that either clears the whole arena or has the range of the arena
* bonus point: some kind of cancer mechanic
#4 may be a bit easier said than done because of how bosses aggro in ER. He'll be all over my Mimic relentlessly, then he'll use his bestial sling on me outta nowhere taking close to 9/10ths of my entire healthbar, then proceed with my Mimic again after nearly killing me lol.
I've even spammed Swarm of Flies one attempt to try and pull him from my Mimic and he didn't even aggro me because he was all over my summon so intensely.
Can't say I disagree with you honestly lol. I did compare him to Lorian after all hah
I'm more or less irritated about both AI's of Maliketh and my spirit lingering near the arena edge, and aggroing each other to stay there because it keeps getting my spirit killed lol
